- Part of the PureProject™ Collection from Brooks®.
- Recently awarded "Best Debut" in the winter 2012 Shoe Guide of Runner's World magazine.
- Brooks developed five unique features called the Ideal Technologies (Nav Band, Toe Flex, BioMOGO DNA, Ideal Heel and Anatomical Last) that are featured in every PureProject shoe. Combined, these technologies are designed to promote an efficient, natural stride by encouraging a more forward foot strike, which places the runner over their center of gravity, helps align the body and reduces harmful stress.
- The lightest shoe in the collection. Built for the neutral runner seeking a minimalist running shoe that places little between the runner and the ground.
- Highly breathable open mesh upper.
- Ultralightweight synthetic overlays provide light structural support.
- Elastic Nav Band wraps across the instep for a secure, glove-like fit.
- Lightly padded tongue and contoured heel cup for added comfort.
- Lightweight foam insole offers light underfoot plush.
- BioMoGo DNA is a blend of earth-friendly BioMoGo and responsive Brooks DNA, and has a gender-friendly cushioning design, making for a dynamic ride.
- Midsole Offset: 4mm.
- Extended Toe Flex - The split-toe feature augments forefoot flexibility and promotes the big toe to engage the runner's natural stability and power during push-off.
- Ideal Heel - The heel is slimmed down to encourage contact points to shift forward, aligning the joints and creating optimal energy return.
- Built on an anatomical last, the shoe's shape contours to your foot, promoting support and a glove-like fit.
- Heel Height: 1 in
- Weight: 6 oz

These sneakers are true to size and, as advertised, are super lite. However, they are very narrow and it is difficult to put an average B width foot into them with ease. I wanted them for a trip, but it would have been impossible to put on and take off at the airport. Of the many sneakers I have tried these are the lightest and if you have a narrow foot, they are perfect!

I have had these shoes for just under a week and have put around 20 miles on them so far. They are by far the best running shoe I have ever had. I am a fairly neutral runner but do need some arch support. I have a thin and slightly narrow foot these are the perfect width and height to fit my foot comfortably. The split sole at the toe allows for great control when running. I love how light they are as well. I am overly impressed with these shoes!

I usually run in the VIVOBarefoot shoes, so these shoes felt like I had balloons under my feet. I ordered a half size up which I highly recommend. Many people have said that the heel rubs, but I didn't have a problem. I usually have a problem with the heel rubbing too, so I don't know why a lot of people are. Although they are very cushy, they are very light and my feet were very happy when running. I'm used to minimalist shoes, so when I read that these were minimalist I had to try them. I believe they are far from it. I felt like Tigger running. Very bouncy. But after about 500 feet I got used to it. If you're looking for a shoe that has amazing cushion and lightweight, I would go with these. But if you're looking for a minimalist shoe, these are a little too cushioned for that.

I read the reviews about this shoe being narrow and bought it! I have very narrow feet and it's a perfect fit! The shoe is incredibly lightweight too.

Bought these shoes as replacements for my old "minimal" running shoes. I usually run in Adizero flats or Newtons. These Brooks fit like a glove the second I put them on. I have a wide foot and they fit perfectly. The soles are super cushy and bouncy, so that was a little more "squish" than I was used to. I didn't get any rubbing or blisters as others had reported. Overall I wish the footbed had less cushion but I will put up with it because they fit my foot so well otherwise.

I purchased the white/cockatoo/pavement/metallic silver/black color because I loved the frosty aqua color. Well, unfortunately the color is not as pictured and is much more green. Very similar to the NB 890 grey and green. Taking a little bit of patience to get broken in. Coming from a Nike Free 2, the Brooks seemed very narrow in both the heel and toe box. I think they are supposed to be a glove-like fit, so I loosened the laces and that helped a little. Still some rubbing at the left heel. Also, I wear ultra-lightweight socks, so if you're a cushioned sock wearer, definitely size up by at least 1/2. As another reviewer mentioned, while the cushion IS very lightweight, it is also very present, like having a little pillow under the arch. I haven't fully decided how I feel about them as a running shoe, but they are definitely NOT suitable for strength training or cross fit type movements (and according to Brooks customer service they are meant solely as a running shoe). Cause significant overpronation during any movement that requires stability.

This shoe is amazing...right out of the box it is so comfortable. I have 2 pairs...the second pair came today and I put them on and walked 3 miles in them! No problems whatsoever! I do not wear socks with these shoes...they fit your feet like a glove. There is a lot of cushion and good arch support.

This running shoe is narrow, but true to size otherwise. I ordered a half size larger as I do in all my running shoes and it fit well with a heavy sock. There is quite a bit of cushioning at the ball of the shoe, so it does feel like you are walking on clouds. This is much better than my previous order of the New Balance minimalist running shoe that had shoddy workmanship.

As someone else mentioned, these run narrow - so if you have narrow feet, they are the ticket. They are super light and immediately comfortable with good arch support. I recently wore them to China where I walked for hours at a time with no foot discomfort whatsoever, and I'm 66. I just ordered two more pairs of the magenta-color and willing to take a little teasing on the color for the sake of comfort and wear-ability.

I ran in these for the first time today and had a great 4-mile run. They fit like a glove, but I did not wear socks. I didn't feel like I needed to! I had been having trouble with my right arch and I felt no pain on the run at all! Also, I did not have any problems with blisters or wearing on my heel. I'm a true convert.

I've been running/working out in the toe shoes that are unfortunately not sold on Zappos. I used to wear Brooks running shoes, so I decided to try these for zumba and other workouts that require a lot of skill/drill foot movement. I just cannot do it. While these are great if you don't want to go all the way to the real barefoot feel, if you're used to the toe shoes or already used to being truly barefoot when exercising, I doubt these will be minimalist enough. I still gave them five stars because they are the best of the minimalist shoes out there that are not toe shoes.

Amazing running shoe! My new favorite. I use them on a treadmill. They really seem to have a bounce to them. I have a high arch, and these have remarkable arch support.

These are great shoes that hug your feet, conforming to the entire foot like a sock. I love the magenta color; however, I sized up a half and they were still too tight in the toe area for me so I returned them for a full size up, and that pair was fine. They feel great for running, like little pockets of pillows under your feet. I love that they are super lightweight. My feet felt good from the first wear. I have high arches, but they felt terrific.

These are great shoes! I am a marathoner and have little natural padding on my feet. These shoes allow me the barefoot motion with a little padding. Women's color choices are questionable as the blue is ghastly. I am concerned about temperature in summer with darker shoes. We will see...

Three words: Best. Shoe. Ever! I love these Brooks! They are so lightweight, and even cuter in person. There is so much cushion in the sole, it's incredible! I wear a size nine and I think they make my feet look smaller than most other tennis shoes do. In one day I got several compliments on them. Another benefit - great arch support. I usually wear custom orthotics to support my collapsing arches, but these shoes do the trick all by themselves. However, the insole is removable is someone wanted to wear different inserts or orthotics in the shoe.

Had to exchange a size 10 for a 10.5, even though I'm usually a 10 in Brooks. I have 2A (N) narrow feet and these surprising fit my foot very well. This review is purely about fit as I have not run in these yet.
