Love, love this shoe. Right out of the box I wore this shoe for four straight days at Disneyland...no tired feet, just happy feet. I am a woman and I order the mens shoes because the width fits me better. I have a bad knee and back and during the entire four days of walking for 10-12 hours a day at Disneyland, no knee or back pain. I'm ordering a second pair of these gems.

These shoes have a major problem: the lack of cushioning in the front and the feeling of some hard ball under the front of the shoe that is really uncomfortable. Once you run, that feeling lessens somewhat but it is still there. This is a real problem, I do not recommend these shoes to anyone and I am really surprised that they have obtained the editor's choice! They must have totally missed that issue. Don't buy them, you will hurt yourselves after a while.

I really enjoy these shoes for their intended purpose. As long as you are using them for walking or running, they remain true to size. Lateral movements seem to put extra strain and stretch on the mesh exterior. Still not as neutral as I would have expected, the bit of arch support in the frame and cushioning comes in handy upon impact. I do wish that more color choices were available in wider sizes.
I'd also recommend: Brooks, new balance, saucony

Awesome. Comfortable from the first run. Great cushioning. (I do have flat feet, so I do use my own orthotics.) But these shoes are really great.

I loved my new women's Ghost so much that I ordered a pair for my husband. He loves them as much as I do. Brooks are pricey but worth every penny for this style! Thanks Zappos for always providing 5 star service!

I am a long time (since mid 80s) Asics runner, with a moderately high arch. In the past couple of years, I've become disenchanted with their Cumulus and Nimbus models. Most recently I purchased a pair of Gel Kayanos hoping more dollars would mean more satisfaction on my part. After putting in a pair of orthotics that I had not worn in years, just to get them so I could wear them more than a couple of hours, they are now my walking shoes. When I saw the Runners World Editor's pick on the Brooks Ghost 5s, I decided to give them a try. Wow, I love them. I normally wear the 4E Asics and the Brooks only came in 2E, so I was a little worried they wouldn't be wide enough. The Zappos customer support person said the Ghost toe box runs a little wide, and they turned out to be just fine. Note to Brooks: Please don't change a thing, You have a moderately priced shoe that is wonderful, with great cushioning and arch support. Asics makes the mistake of tweaking their shoes seemingly every year so can not count on the model you like this year being the same shoe the following year. Talked my wife into a pair of Ghost 5s as well, and she is just as enthused about them as I am. Kudos to Brooks!

Great shoes...a lifesaver. I wear the 11 2e's and they work very well on my wide feet. I don't know how Brooks does it, but these shoes ride like a dream. Zappos was beyond great in my first transaction with them. They really went above and beyond.
