I bought this top to protect my arms from the summer sun during my dog walks. I don't run, but I do like this top. It keeps me fairly cool, and it doesn't make me stew in my own sweat while I walk. The fit does seem snug, but I think for runners the less friction the better. I got a large when I usually wear a medium top, and it's like a second skin.

This is my second Brooks Equilibrium top. I love them! The neckline is wide enough to get on/off with ease while still providing sun protection. The vivid blue is a lovely color and the reflective writing and strips really work. It is very lightweight -- perfect for running in foggy San Francisco. I ordered my last one about 3 years ago and I still wear it. It has held up well, but has acquired a bit of a stink. This new one seems a bit smaller than my last. The arms are tighter, and the bottom rides up to my natural waist. I always wear this as a second layer, though, so I don't mind. For reference, I'm 5'5", 127 lb, with a 26" waist and 38" hips. I ordered a small, but believe I will move to a medium in the future.
Brands I'd also recommend: Under Armour, Sugoi, Pearl iZumi

Nice running top, good quality moisture wicking material. Runs small, I am normally a 4-6 and I bought a size small but could probably have gotten away with a medium. Seems to have shrunk slightly with washing.

I purchased in the 'powder' color and went a size up from small to medium which proved a wise decision because it does run a bit small. I wear this for running and for running errands on the weekend and it is a comfortable. As always, Zappos service is second to none!
