I have severe over-pronation and have found the Brooks brand comfortable for my foot, but didn't like any of their styles with the motion control feature. This one changed that. It is wonderfully comfortable and great-looking. I can feel the motion control working to make my foot neutral. It is squishy and comfy, but still firm. The color is very tasteful, just enough of a bright touch without being overwhelming. I think the pinks are not as bright as what it appears online, though. I think the mix of colors will be good at hiding dirt. As far as the water-resistant feature. I did my own test with a little tap water on the toe part. It does seem to resist some, but certainly isn't waterproof. They will be fine for light drizzles or walking through dewy grass. I was impressed that they seemed to have good breathability; when I tried them on without socks, I could feel some airflow. How'd they do that with the water-resistance? It's not Gore-tex for sure, but it's a good compromise. The mesh part also seems to be somewhat stretchy. The lacing is superbly designed and has a guide strap at the very top that I like. I normally wear an 8-8.5. In athletic shoes I often order a 9 to allow for plenty of toe room... and that size works in these as well. I'm pretty picky about my athletic shoes (I walk daily and have forefoot pain and over-pronation). My last ones I wore the tread down to nearly nothing because I couldn't find good replacements. These are great!

I love these shoes. I've been running about 5k in them daily for about a month now and am as happy with them now as I was on day one. I have flat, somewhat narrow feet and have a hard time finding running shoes that are stable and well-fitting. These are snug but not tight, so my foot feels nicely supported. I especially like the way the lacings and tongue are designed to keep the tongue from slipping to the inside. As with almost all shoes, the arch support is pitiful. I took out the footbed and inserted custom orthotics which takes care of that problem. Normally I wear a 7, but I've always had to go up a half-size in athletic shoes, so I'm wearing a 7.5.

These are upper shoes for overpronation, I bought the Cascadias but returned them for the Adrenaline. The Cascadias were much prettier. :) However, I'll sacrifice the looks for the extreme comfort, support and durability. I'm 46, active, and I hike/trail run 4 miles a day in the rocky Arizona desert, these have great grip, great support, and my legs haven't hurt since I've used either pair of Brooks. I'm committed to Brooks for life!

These are great looking shoes and fairly comfortable, only, they are definitely narrower than average. I can still wear them by tying them very loosely but if you have medium to wider feet, try something else. This is my first time buying Brooks so I am wondering if it is like that with all their shoes?

These sneakers are so hard and uncomfortable! I had a pair of Aerial's by Brooks and they were wonderful, but these are just disappointing. I absolutely hate them because my ankles would kill me after taking a short walk or doing a low impact aerobic workout. I switched over to Skechers Shape Ups and they have changed my life!!!

I love these shoes! I purchased a treadmill about 3 years ago and became an avid runner again. The problem was that my feet would hurt after my runs, and I could never figure out what the problem was. I bought new running shoes a few times, but that didn't help. I finally decided to do some research, and these shoes were one of the recommendations for my flat feet. I am glad I bought them because they are perfect. They are lightweight and it feels like I'm running on clouds, rather than a hard surface. My feet no longer hurt during or after I run. I'm glad I opted to spend a few extra dollars for these high quality shoes. You know how the saying goes, “You get what you pay for.” On a side note, when I read the reviews for these shoes, someone mentioned that you should always get a half size to a full size larger than your normal shoe size. When you run, your feet swell and shift around. I usually wear a size 8.5 and I bought these in a 9. They fit perfectly with a little room in the toe area. No more toe blisters and sore soles for me! I highly recommend these shoes!

Nice running shoe, excellent quality, exactly as described. I originally ordered the trail running shoe from Brooks but this corrects my very slight pronation. Order a half-size up. And, of course, great customer service from Zappos!

So far, so great. I've been using these for street and light trail running for about a month now and love them. I have pretty wide feet and ordered width D, but probably didn't need to. I ordered a half size up and am glad I did. Though they feel true to size, it's nice to have the extra leeway. These offer great stability on every terrain. Thumbs up!

Amazing shoes. After many other failed purchases I finally found the perfect pair of sneakers. They have awesome arch support in just the right spot. The wide width was perfect for me. I have been wearing them nonstop since they arrived. I am a convert and will be wearing Brooks shoes from now on.

This is my 3rd pair of Brooks. The Brooks last fits my feet ever so much better than New Balance or Nike. This shoe is lightweight and my orthotics fit well in them. This has quickly become my "go to" pair of shoes for the gym.

My feet are wide so I do wear a wide width. Another feature on these that I appreciate is that the striping does not hit the widest part of my foot where some have the tendency to rub. I'm on my third pair of these and love them.

These shoes seem like they'll be great but I wish I would have listened to the one review that said they were very narrow. I guess my feet are on the wider side but I have never had to order a wide shoe so I went with the regular in a 6.5 (I normally wear a 6). Even with the laces copiously loosened, my feet were starting to go numb after a while because they were so tight. I'm going to exchange for the wide and we'll see how it goes!

I've had Brooks before, and this delivers just as well. It's super comfy. The insoles aren't the cushy-est, but they are removable so I put in sport insoles.

Another excellent shoe from Brooks -- I pronate and this shoe keeps me from getting foot fatigue after being on the go all day. I wear 8 1/2 M and this shoe fit true to size. I even took the inserts out to put my own inserts in and they fit perfectly.

This is my 3rd pair of ASRs. These are very comparable to the ASR-7 which I replaced. Improvements are that the laces stay tied! Adrenalines fit my feet perfectly, but I only wear the ASRs because they seem be thicker or more supportive in the ball of the foot/ big toe area. I use these mostly for walking and hiking, occasionally running, although I am rotating these with a pair of Newtons, so I use those more for running and these more for hiking. Wearing the ASRs I feel very secure and stable on rocky or gravelly hills. Heeding the advice I got from a running store salesperson when I bought my first pair, I go up between a 1/2 and whole size. I wear an 8 1/2 - 9 shoe and boot, but I always buy a 9 1/2 in Brooks. If you walk, run and hike a lot this allows your toes to have some room and your feet to have some swelling room.

I have had two knee surgeries and have worn the Brooks Glycerin before. I liked the look of these and decided to try them. They made my feet roll slightly outwards and caused knee pain just walking around the house. I have very high arches as well. My mom loves this style, but I cannot wear them. Would not recommend unless you have some pronation.

These are the best pair of running sneakers I've owned. I've tried many brands, but after running in these I will probably never stray from Brooks again. I have narrow feet and struggle to find shoes that my heel doesn't slip out of when running (which causes blisters and pain). These are the ones! I am also an over-pronator and these sneakers have great support without requiring an additional insert. These are a great product for performance as well as style.

Brands I'd also recommend: I am a fan of Asics as well.

These are great for me. I walk a few miles most days and my aging body needs comfortable shoes with good support. these do the trick and work for me better than the road running shoes and other brands. Like the color scheme too! I don't believe they are a full half size smaller than marked but they definitely are on the small size.
