I love it, the handle is so comfortable I have arthritis and the handle is easy to hold. Can we talk about having the different speeds it's great. I had difficulty with my old one cleaning the blade this Breville even if I don't put it in the dish washer it's still easy to clean.

I bought this to replace an Oster brand stick blender that I received as a gift (it lasted less than a year). The Oster blender copping blade kept falling off of the motor part. I have been very impressed with this stick blender, in comparison. I looked up the type of plastic used for the mixing and measuring cups and found that they are BPA-free (a huge plus, in my book). The motor clicks into a stick blender or the chopping blade with bowl option. It seems very secure. The instructions clearly indicate that you should start the blender off at low speed and adjust it up, as needed. I found much less splatter while pureeing soups with the stick blender. I have also used the chopping blade set-up to make a thick sauce. Breville even designed the lid to go beneath the outside cup and provides a rubbery surface to reduce sliding on the counter. Love the attention to detail. One caveat: the outside, larger cup used for the chopping blade gets dirty if any liquid is present. Just another dish to wash, but it's nice to know in advance.
