This toaster made perfect toast the very first time. It is a quality product. The automatic lift brings the toast high out of the toaster so no reaching down into it to get the toast out. The features "lift and look" and "a little bit more" are great. I read over 80 reviews from different sites (surprised there were none on Zappos). 80% of the reviews were four or five stars with nothing below three and even those liked the toaster. I never read about one breakdown or failure. Just Google reviews and I think you will be impressed. Finally, I ordered this toaster from Zappos at 12:05 PM and received it the next day at 10:42 AM from UPS. I am really not sure how Zappos could process the order, ship it from Kentucky to Florida in less than 24 hours. I verified it through UPS tracking because I did not believe it. Great job by Zappos!

This toaster was shipped so quickly I nearly had to duck! From order to toast took only 3 days! The toaster is wonderful and the best I've ever used. It toasts evenly, both sides of the bread, to the selected level of doneness. Bagel setting works well on both bagels and hot dog buns, toasting only one side. The beep that signals it is done is very soft, the lights for the buttons and selection lever are on only briefly after completing the toasting task. This is an amazing machine!

This toaster was a failure, literally. After about 4 days it simply stopped working in any way. Getting in touch with Breville was very time-consuming and annoying. So it went back to Zappos. That's the last time I'll buy a Breville product.

We've had this toaster now for about 3 weeks and so far, so good. No complaints. The width of the slots work for everything we've tried. The electronic controls that lower and raise the bread so far work flawlessly. The sliding darkness control is lighted with a red LED and shows how much longer you have to toast. The "peek" button is useful. If it lasts and does not break down, this is a winner. However, beware that this is a big toaster and unless you need 4 slices or so all the time, consider the smaller size.

Disappointed with this toaster. Toasts the bread unevenly...burns the crust while the center is still untoasted. Bread comes out curled, not flat.
