This blender delivers. It\'s quiet, yet powerful. It blends all my crazy ingredients into a perfect smoothy. It crushes ice just as in the demo. Every detail on this appliance screams quality and durability. I use it daily. Also Zappos stands behind this purchase for a full 365 days!

This is my 4th blender in as many months. All previous were the basic garbage you'd get at Target or Wal-Mart ($50 or less). Everyone one of them eventually fried. I was using them to blend frozen yogurt and - none of them could handle it. So - I decided at the rate I was going - it would be better to pay more for something that actually works. So - the good - this blender chews through ice/frozen yogurt and about anything without any problems at all. It's very quiet (relatively) and seems to have to put out little effort to blend. It's well constructed; has very simple controls and is very easy to clean. The bad... and I want to emphasize this is a very small thing to pick on, when it's on smoothie or - ice crushing - it pulses. When it does - if the blender doesn't have a lot of weight in it - the base will slide an inch or so in the opposite direction. So you need to be careful where you place it on the counter if you're not going to pay attention to it. Had this for 2 months - still works great.

I love this blender. I needed something that could handle crushing ice and making smoothies at least twice/day, and this is it. It makes the perfect smoothie and it even crushes ice to the point of snow if you want. Best blender ever!

At first, I was having a hard time justifying the price of this Breville blender. Then I recalled that I had already returned two other blenders (from another merchant) due to one that leaked after a week and the other one wouldn't crush ice. I don't have any of those issues with this blender. The first few times I used it, I had a hard time getting it to blend properly, but that was because I wasn't putting enough liquid in. As long as you have the right amount of liquid, this blender is super great. The jug is lightweight, well marked with easy to read measurements and has a pouring spout. I like the pull knob on the lid, making it easy to take the lid off. The lid also has a small cup that you can take out to add more ingredients. The blade is really heavy duty and comes with a blade removal tool which is very useful if you have any kind of hand problems. The blender comes apart so clean-up is a breeze. I only have one "con" so far for this Breville blender. I make a lot of smoothies and when using the smoothie option, it has these powerful burst towards the end of the cycle. The blender base is very heavy, but it will still move/walk with each burst. So if you buy this blender, be aware of that problem. My blender is sitting next to my counter top grill, so it can't move too far. Maybe a non-slip cushion under it might help. I only gave the blender four stars on "comfort", due to the walking issue. I haven't used it for grinding meat yet, so I can't comment on that part. It's a classy looking blender and I don't mind at all leaving it on my counter. I get a lot of compliments on it
