Really cute, comfortable shoe. Only issue I have is that the buckle is difficult for my six year old to fasten by herself. But, I don't mind helping her out. Great quality shoe for a good price.

These are very cute, but they run at least a full size larger. They are not really made for narrow feet.
My daughter attends a school where black shoes are a part of the dress code. I love the shoe: fit, comfort, style. Only problem is they look more chocolate brown than black. I checked the shoe box twice to make sure I ordered the right color. Really hate I have to return them.

These are good durable school shoes. They are made from nice leather that polishes beautifully. Sadly it is so hard to find leather shoes for kids, but these are actual leather and they wear very nicely. They do run a little big.

First, I rarely write comments about anything I buy online but these certainly deserve big stars! My child is super picky about how her shoes fit. These were perfect! She says they are "cushy" and she doesn't complain about putting her shoes on in the morning anymore. Thank you Born!

Great shoes and I wanted flowers but something non patent. Ran really big - between a 1/2 and full size. Am downsizing for the second time and hoping it's the charm because we both love these!
Love them! Adult with tiny feet so very happy to find these. Intend to buy them again! My only complaint is that there is a sewn-in tag on the footbed that is slightly annoying. I expect it to "disappear" by getting used to it, but it feels like I have a band-aid under my foot all the time! Otherwise, totally love this shoe!

My 8 year-old daughter loves these shoes. They are made very well, and the insole is padded so extra comfortable. They can be casual or worn with dressy clothes. She wears all the time, and they seem true to size.

I loved the look and feel of this shoe, but it has a strange fit. The 3 1/2 is too big and the 3 is too small!
Well made shoe though I like the school shoe made about 3 years ago better. The polished leather looks great but will scuff quicker than the matte leather of previous years. Not so great for narrow feet and a little stiff.
These are BORN quality! I'm not sure I should have spent so much on my 7 yr old since she will be out of these in a year, but she wanted the "cushiony" ones over the other pair she had to choose from (Stride Rite's Morgan). The two shoes were comparable, but the Born was more my "style" with the contrasting stitch and looking more dressy than sporty. The only draw-back may be the real buckle, which is stylish but not easy for a child to do herself. I had to go with 1/2 size smaller than her tennis shoes, which is normal for a dress shoe, I find.
Great shoe, but if you print off the kid's sizing chart from Zappos, these may run a little big. My daughter measured at a size 13, which is what I ordered. There is definitely a lot of room to grow. I am almost tempted to return them for a 12.5.
These shoes are really good quality, comfortable, attractive and true to size. Wish Born offered more kids styles.
I have ordered my daughter a pair of these every year for the last three years... That's how much we love them. They are cute, well made and supportive. They are roomy in the toe, the strap could use an extra hole, last year we had a shoe repair man add a hole because my daughter has a high arch. Great shoe!!! Worth the money.
Very cute shoe, great arch support, etc. The only negative is that it needs to be broken in in the back where it gave a blister on the first very light wearing (just to church!). Maybe wear a thicker sock the first few times.

Great shoes. Really cute. Comfortable - my daughter wears these to school all day. The only drawback is that it is a little difficult to tuck the strap tab into the loop at the end. This may be because they are new and I would expect the leather to soften up and give more as they get broken in. Regarding function, these are definitely the Born style shoe (like the adult version) where the sole is quite stiff and not meant to flex like a tennis shoe. It is well cushioned and supported on the inside. The navy blue is very dark - almost black, but soft enough to match both brown and black tone outfits!
I purchased these shoes for my daughter to wear to school. Her first reaction was how very soft and comfortable they are. I'm very pleased with them.
They have changed this shoe! My daughter has this shoe in a size 2 from the spring. I ordered a 2.5 for the fall because the shoe was so comfortable. Unfortunately, Born changed the cut on this shoe. It is more narrow, cut more shallow across the front, and she said felt tighter than her size 2. We loved the shoe last year (when it had the Born comfy toe box). This year it is going back.
I love the look and style of these shoes - great with my daughter's school uniform. They're made very well and are very comfortable (so I'm told). The one drawback is that my daughter can't get them on by herself (and she's 6). There's a leather loop that the strap is supposed to tuck into after it's buckled and it takes a bit of effort even for me to get it through.
