Very comfortable shoe. It's rare to get a new pair of shoe and not have to go through a two week breakin period. These fit perfect right from the start.
I work in an office and wanted to get new dress shoes. I usually go to the dept store and buy something cheap, but now I wanted to buy something better. I think Florsheim is a good step up from the normal dept store shoes. They look nice, they fit comfortable, and the all leather lets my feet breath better. I recommend it.
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I received my shoes. It was much sooner than the scheduled date. The shoes fit perfectly with a little room to spare. For someone with little to no arch, I would suggest purchasing an arch support or soft gel insole.
I have always worn saddle shoes and these are great shoes for the money. Very comfortable and they look great with jeans, bermudas, or slacks! They are also very lightweight due to the composite sole. Very happy with my purchase!
I ended up keeping these, mostly because I was tired of shopping. These boots are well made with a sole that will grip slick sidewalks. The downside is that they are bit too narrow in the toe box. If you have wide feet like me, you'll need to stretch them or break them in. Also, the sole isn't as cushioned as I'd like, but a thin insole has helped and now they're quite comfortable.
Wow! Superb fit and comfort! Can't be beat for price. Double thick sole and extra wide welt like grandpa's old pair. I was just about to special order a pair of Aldens. Alden makes the very best shoe made in America. If you want the best - without going to England - get Alden. They are known worldwide for their cordovan (horse) leather, but they also make cowhide. Their shoes are expensive. But you can get two pairs of Florsheim Imperials for that price. Of course the quality is not the same, but these Florsheim Imperials are of high quality - better than Johnston and Murphy and Allen Edmonds, which have gone down in quality over the last 10 years. I'm pleased that Florsheim has resurrected the Imperial line!
These are easily one of the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever purchased. They fit perfectly and are very sturdy so I look forward to wearing them for some time.
Very comfortable, and I have problem feet. Sizing is good. Very good looking, and my only complaint is the stitching has frayed more than I would have expected for the price.
My usual size is 11. The 11 was too short and narrow. I exchanged for 12. Now comfy with soft, bulky sox. A good looking boot for the office on snowy/rainy days.
Ordering this product, through Zappos was a very good experience for me. The Florsheim Trapper Shoe is a great quality shoe boot. Very good soft quality leather, great sole support as well. The price cannot be beat by any department store or Mall. I would recommend this shoe for any guy out there looking for a quality & comfortable shoe/boot. My order was delivered to me in about 3-5 days and was exactly as advertise. I will be ordering more shoes through Zappos in the future!
These are great shoes! But more importantly Zappos stands behind the products they sell. I ran into a problem with my shoes long after I had purchased and worn them, the happily exchanged them. I am happy with my shoes, happier with Zappos!
Got these as a Christmas gift, they are my favorite work shoe. Fit well and very comfortable. I have them in brown also, all I wear with suits to work. Love Florsheim shoes.
I would recommend these to anyone that is interested in comfortable, well made, slippers. I have no way to gauge how they will hold up over time, at this point, but I am very happy with them. I have them on right now!

I have narrow feet and Zappos is the only sensible place for me to get shoes. They also ship very fast and have a great selection! I've been looking for this shoe in my size for a long time. I can't fairly comment about arch support, because I don't have arches.
Bought boots because I need ankle support even when I'm in a business suit. These shoes suit that purpose just fine, but they're not totally comfortable. The price is right, though.
What a great shoe! I liked it so well after only two days of wearing it I ordered it in the wine color. As soon as you put this shoe on you can really tell its quality. I highly recommend it to anyone who demands high quality and great finish. I'm sure they will last many years. My foot measures 12 1/2 (which is impossible to find) so I ordered a 12 based on other reviews stating to drop a half size. It fit perfectly and no heel slip. I finally found a shoe that fits my foot. Great job Zappos for your super fast service. Keep up the great work and I'll be a customer for life!
I love Florsheim. I live in New York and while I am not the biggest style icon, I certainly dress nicely for work and social occasions (urban preppy). I needed just a basic black slip-on I can wear with dress pants for work, or jeans for a night out. The fit/width were fine at 14D, but I found these to be a bit unrefined looking, and bulky (not in the fit, just the construction/appearance). They were not as youthful or fashion forward feeling like some of Florsheim's shoes are these days. They weren't for me - I thought they looked kind of cheap - or orthopedic. Alas, I had to return them and am still on the hunt for the perfect black slip-on shoe (perhaps Cole Haan Nike Air will work).
I wanted to love these shoes as much as my other Florsheim purchases which for the record always fit perfectly. However, these in a 14D (my normal size with Florsheim) I could not even get my foot in the shoe. The top was a bit too narrow for me to even get them on fully. Not sure this would be a problem for all, but for me it was. So I returned them - took advantage of the amazing shipping and return policies via Zappos! I can't say, though, that these shoes were incorrectly sized, but I knew from the first time trying them on I felt that the top of the shoe was just too tight for me.
I love Florsheim, most of my dress/leather shoes are Florsheim (and Cole Haan Air). I had a few pairs of a similar type boot from Florsheim, and was excited to think I finally found a replacement! Got these in 14D (which is my size) and found that these were not 14 in length, and that I could not even get my feel comfortably in. I was really disappointed because I love the look of this shoe with jeans. I will certainly buy from Florsheim again, usually my size is spot-on but these somehow felt a bit narrower and shorter than a 14D from Florsheim usually would be. I'm sure a 15D or Wide would have been perfect, but they don't have my size. If you order go up one size, and maybe go for wider if this might be a concern for you. Note: I have flat feet so perhaps the narrowness was just too much for me, not you.
