These are the best shoes that I have ever skated in. There is not a midsole they so they have an amazing board-feel. There is a thick insole, so there is padding. They wore out pretty quickly, but that will happen with any shoes. They are really comfortable and stylish.
The single most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. Seriously...I never write reviews for stuff but this show is terrific!
These shoes felt great out of the box. They felt so comfy that I planned on buying more of them in the future. But then I broke them in... the soles felt as if they were made of concrete. They caused very bad heel bruising. So bad that it hurts my feet to even look at a picture of these shoes! I would never buy another pair of these shoes again. No, Thank you.
Oh man, these shoes are the worst. Seriously, avoid at all costs. The upper (I think that's the right part is supposedly made of pliable suede. Yet these feel like they're reinforced by some thick layer of cardboard meaning the part that bends over where your toes meet your foot, crushes you right on your joint. Seriously, it was practically impossible to walk. Sigh. What are shoe manufacturers (not) thinking these days? Such a simple, nice looking shoe and they totally effed it up. God bless Zappos for refunding me painlessly. Their customer service, as usual, is second to none.
My son loved the shoes. I have nothing but great things to say about ordering from Zappos. They are reliable and very fast with delivery; never a problem returning product. Highly recommend.
I bought a pair of the Joe Brooks version of these about 3 months ago. They look great and are reasonably comfortable, but about a month ago they started fading really bad in the spots where the toe cap bends, and now there are large discolored areas. I only wear them for about 10 hours a week, and just for regular use (not skating or anything), so they shouldn't be wearing down like this.
Great looking shoes. I was afraid they were going to be a very light tan but they are true to (if not a little darker than) the color in the image. Similar looks to a boat shoe, but more contemporary styling. Great casual shoe even if you don't skateboard!
This is a great shoe. I have it in a different color but it's very comfy and has good board feel and also great support it. I've had mine for 5 days it is kind of already tearing but I still like the shoe a lot and you should get it too!
I was looking forward to this shoe as I heard the upper construction is sturdy and the cupsole provides good support and cushioning. Those two characteristics turned out to be true. However, these shoes have absolutely zero arch support. The sti footbed that they repeatedly brag about is completely flat. If it is intended to form to your foot, that would leave only minimal arch and paper-thin cushioning under your heel, since it's only 1/8in to begin with. Normally, I would just replace it with a different insole, but the heel cup is also too low. So low that it doesn't hold my heal in, which would be much worse if I replaced the insole with one with more arch. If I tightened the laces enough to hold my foot in, I'd look like I was wearing footballs.
I'm a chick! So girls, go one size down from your original size (I wear a six). I love these colors and they're not pink!
Excellent shoe! Great fit, excellent support, comfortable and look great for office or skate!
They look awesome but they fell apart after a few light wearings. That was a bummer. The stitching is breaking in several places. These feature really bad construction. However, they are comfortable.
I bought a pair of these 6 years ago and completely wore them out. They are the best shoes I've ever owned. And I'm not a skater. I just bought 2 more pairs and I'm hankering for a brown/gum combo when they get back in stock. Comfy. Cool. Tough.
Pretty clean, simple shoes. The tongue is not attached by any sort of stretch elastic to the sides of the shoes, in case you were wondering. Ollie protection is solid, but the heel area feels rather roomy to me (I'm used to Macbeths, Fallens, and Vans Rowleys). So, if your feet are wide but your heels small like mine, these shoes don't fit terribly well.
These are some great great shoes! I do skate a lot and these are the best holding up shoes that I have ever owned! The Esuede is legit and the strongest shoes I have ever gotten! They are very comfortable with the Sti foam cushioning. These are the best skate shoes in my opinion. Just get half a size larger as they ran a bit small as all Es shoes.
Love these shoes. I've never gotten compliments on shoes before. With these, I got about five in the first two weeks of wearing them!
Ordered these shoes for a 15 year old boy. The shoes were great. True to size and comfortable. He liked the look. The ordering was easy through Zappos and we got the shoes quickly.
The best skate shoe in the world. Period! I have bought these shoes at least eight times. They last forever even when you skate every day! They break in quick and hold shape and skate well broken in. The toe and stitching doesn't tear apart too fast and the sole lasts a long time. Seriously the best skating shoe. They are best for bowl/ramp style skating. But still good for street skating. And they work well for pimpin' honeys be breaking they necks checking these out. They have a rounded edge on the sole, which I prefer over the hard edge or sharp edge shoes. Better grip and board control. Best skate shoe ever!
Very high quality shoes. Triple stitched. I don't skate but they are nice casual shoes.
