La Canadienne

After four years with one pair of pleather Steve Madden, flat, brown boots and not being able to part from them because nothing excited me...comes these perfect boots! I waited for the brown ones to be restocked, and it didn't take long. The shipping was so quick, that I wasn't even expecting them when they arrived. The boots are beautiful. The quality is unmatchable. The comfort is perfection from the first use. I have fairly thin legs and the calf part of the boot fits just right and without much of a gap at all. If you have athletic or larger calves, you may not prefer these. I don't know why it's so slim, although they do have a small elastic that "gives" for some extra room, but it's not much. The heel is a great height for anytime-wear. I have high arches in my feet and have had no issues at all. I have only worn mine with skinny jeans tucked in, but that's what I wanted them for. I'm not sure if they'd be a dress-up boot, but that's preference of course. I love that they zip up, for easy on/off - no more tugging! Big plus: They're made in North America (Canada). Hard to find that these days. Waterproof, too! The suede quality is fantastic...no smelliness, no rough patches, no weird unevenness in the direction of the suede.

I love this boot. I have skinny calves and I hate boots that gap. This boot fits my calves with no gap. I wear either skinny jeans or leggings with my boots. Amazing! And to top it off, it is very comfortable. It's a high heel, not an extreme heel, that is high enough to look sexy but not so high as to make one suffer! I wish the color was a bit more gray. It's between light brown and gray, kind of neutral. My favorite boot this winter!

The boots I have been waiting for my whole life... I can wear them to the grocery store and out for cocktails. I have tried on hundreds of boots until now. These do run a whole size bigger than actual size so when I first received a size 8 and my foot was drowning in them I was worried even the 7 would be too big -- but they fit perfectly. I did expect the upper to be more firm rather than slouchy, but once I received the size that fit the slouch is slight. I gave 4 stars for comfort only because they are not absolutely perfect (they are not Uggs afterall), but feel quite good anyway. I will be wearing them daily.

These are the best boots I have ever purchased...they are so comfortable and so cute. I have narrow calves and La Canadienne boots are one of the only brands that works well for me. They're expensive, but worth every penny!

Excellent boots! I wore these with Smart Wool socks walking all over Prague (cobblestone streets) for several days in 18 degree F (or colder) weather. I have had trouble with neuromas in the past and felt no pain or discomfort even after several hours walking. My feet were warm and dry. I could not be happier with these wonderful boots.

These are gorgeous boots, fit is true to size and incredibly comfortable. High quality, love the fact that there's an inside zipper with elastic goring on the outside so they're easy to get on over jeans. You can walk forever I these because the heel is elevated but wide and supportive. They're gorgeous suede and already waterproof. I got a pair in each color, they're that great. Always get compliments on them.

These boots are worth the price. They are very comfortable and needed no break-in period. The insulation and traction are perfect for snow. They are quickly becoming my go-to boots.

The style is beautiful but it is just toooo narrow around my calf. Too bad it is going back.

Great purchase. All purpose boots, from walking the dogs to going out for dinner. Worth every penny.

These are amazing. The perfect boot does exist! They fit comfortably from the very first wearing. They look great with skinny jeans, slacks, skirts and dresses. I wore them to a trade show -- 12 hours on a concrete floor -- and not a single blister. :)

These are great looking and very comfortable. I haven't tested them in real cold weather yet, but I think they will be toasty warm.

What a wonderful winter boot! Comfortable from day one, it's warm, versatile and stylish. The collar can be worn up or down, and it has a nice profile - not at all a clunky look.

I bought these boots to replace a pair that I bought that really lacked in quality. These have been quite the opposite. They're waterproof and do a great job keeping my feet warm and dry.

Very happy with the boots less with Zappos. The adjustment for price is only for 10 days so 2 weeks after I bought them I see them for less... Irritating and surprising most of the other store on line have a 1 month policy!

I love these boots. I really wanted lug soled boots and winterized ones are not easy to find. They look great with jeans and they are comfortable.

Boots are perfect. True to size, comfortable, with plenty of stretch to hold them up without being too tight.

I have the Kara and I love them. But these, not so much. They are not as sexy as the Kara, they do not hug the leg. And they came up too high for me and caught me under the knee (I am 5'2"). They are going back. I will wait for the Kara to come in brown in my size and I will buy a second pair.

I love Canadienne boots (own the Kara both long and short). However, these rubbed against my leg where the zipper was and came up a little to high for me (I am 5'2") and caught me under my knee. These are going back.

I already own the Kara in these boots (in black) - these were too similar so I am returning. I also didn't like the strap - make it look a little funny - pulled in and then going out at the top - not as flattering as the Kara boots.

These boots are my favorite boots I have ever owned, ever! They are extremely comfortable, I can wear them all day with very little pain. They fit perfectly and snugly around my ankles and calves, but I am also pretty small (size 6 pants), so if you run heavier they may not fit your calves/ankles very well. They are pretty much as pictured, I only give them a lower style rating as I wish La Canadienne would offer a boot with a little more pizazz.
