Paul Green Reviews
Yup, the second reviewer is right. There is a snap that eliminates the need to thread through the tight buckle. These are the most amazing platforms I ever owned. They are fashionable, comfortable and truly stylish. Everybody at the office loves these. You'll definitely get compliments. One thing though - I own many Paul Greens and they run half a size big. I'm typically a 6.5 but always go for 6 in Paul Greens.
I love this gorgeous shoe! Sexy and comfortable. I have a Paul Green bootie in a 7.5 and so ordered that size in this Melinda City sandal, both colors. Loved 'em both, of course. For me there is a problem with the strap - too loose - and no way to tighten it! Maybe someone in that size with a little bit bigger ankle would have some luck. I felt good in the shoe, all fit well...but I could not help thinking that the strap should be hugging my ankle at least a little bit! I have (ah hem) biggish bunions and that part fit well in this sandal, which is mainly what I have to look for in a shoe. The bunion room! I am going to try the 7's I like this shoe so much! Thanks to Zappos for this opportunity!
Beautiful shoe. Gorgeous blue color. Very comfortable to walk in. Unfortunately, the top strap cut into the top of my foot. If your foot is less rounded on top than mine, then you will love this shoe.
Love the shoes! I have a narrow foot, AA, and they are a teensy bit wide so I got pads to put in the shoe where the ball of my foot hits so my foot doesn't slide forward. Nothing worse than toes hanging over the edge of shoes!
I purchased these in navy and they are just beautiful! Very comfortable, too! Love Paul Green shoes -- they are so worth the money. The navy was a bit darker than I'd like but they are still amazing! I usually wear a 9 but the 9 1/2 is perfect in this brand.
This is a quality shoe with excellent styling and comfort. Every detail is perfect and the shoe worth the price. I could walk for miles in these shoes.
Big fan of Paul Green. Would have given this shoe 5 stars, but the leather is a little stiff around the top so these are taking me some time to break in. Other than that, love them!
Loved the quality of this shoe, and generally love Paul Green, but this style was a bit stiff and not comfortable. Fit was true to size, but I couldn't see myself breaking them in, so returned them.
Paul Green Layla '12: I really wanted to like this shoe because it would add a pop of color to my spring/summer wardrobe, but I had to return the shoe twice. My normal size was far too big. I returned for a high size smaller, but the toe box was too tight. Also, I was worried that the high lip on the back of the shoe would rub against my ankle and create umpteen blisters. Style wise, this is a comfortable and chic flat.
First time trying Paul Green. Nice heel height (do you know how difficult it is to find this height?), and I always like nubuck -- it is so soft and cradles the foot with no break in required. Stable shoe, however, the front portion cut into my foot when I walked, and there just isn't enough arch support for me. Thanks, Zappos, for letting me try it on.
So sad. I love Paul Green shoes. These are beautiful and unbelievably comfortable. However, the ankle strap is cut too wide and does not fit into the buckle...and I ordered these a second time just to make sure it was not a fluke! Both pair are going back.
I love these shoes! They are super cute on, fit great, are a great quality, and they go with everything. They're a little pricey, but worth it.
Very comfortable but the right shoe felt bigger than the left. The straps were loose & my foot slipped with each step. Left shoe was perfect.
Last year I bought a Paul Green flat espadrille that was my go-to everyday shoe for the summer. Since that model is no more, I ordered these. I was a bit leery because I have never found a ballet style flat that was at all flattering, most being too low cut. I was most pleasantly surprised by the Layla. Great fit, great look, as comfortable as a slipper right out off the box, but stylish enough for the street. Paul Green shoes are worth every penny, and they are quite durable. My last years flats still look and feel pretty good. The color of the actual shoes is not quite as bright an orange as the photo, but it is a true, trendy shade.
Exquisite shoe but the leather is too stiff and I think it will chafe my feet when I walk. These are too expensive to take such a chance.
I think this shoe is great. It fits perfectly and was comfortable the minute I put it on. I am planning to get a second color.
Nice leather, cute style with even a bit of cushion but don't expect Paul Green's great arch support because it isn't there. Huge disappointment. In addition the seaming at the back of the ankle on the top edge of the shoe (not the tan heel trim) is enough to bring on a blister after wearing around the house for a very short time. At this price that is just not acceptable. I have several pair of Paul Green shoes and this flat fell flat! But Zappos makes returns so easy so back they went.
