About Trotters
From its very beginning in 1935, Trotters® Shoes has been dedicated to creating high-quality women's footwear with appealing looks and exceptional comfort. Trotters’ first shoes were moccasins made by Native American craftspeople in Old Town, Maine, where the company was founded.

I purchased these shoes for my mother-in-law who has very swollen feet and ankles, but needed dressy shoes for our son's wedding events. It was great that they came in wide sizes, but the velcro was a big help too. They have been perfect for her as she has difficulty with any shoes other than slip ons. The soles are slightly slick, but OK after walking on concrete.
I really love these shoes (as I have others in the same style). However, these shoes are so dark blue that they look black. Even against my navy slacks they look black. Bummer!
These run small and very wide. They're really cute and I was disappointed that I had to return them. The leather is really soft. I'm betting they would have been really comfortable if they had fit.
I read the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size larger...big mistake. It was too large and sadly the 10 narrow in white is sold out. So disappointed but hope they get an order in.
I purchased this shoe to take with me on a trip to Paris. They were so comfortable I wore them almost every day for two weeks...that's a lot of walking. So they've seen the Louvre, Musee d'Orsee, Montmarte, the Eiffel Tower and a lot of bistros. I have an high arch so require a wide width and it was just perfect. I love the color and felt ever so fashionable on the streets of Paris.
These shoes are comfortable but slightly tighter than I expected (6 1/2 W) but they will probably stretch a bit after wearing a few times. Very elegant. Overall I am very pleased with them.
Great comfort and style, but, just like others have said, my heel slips out. The shoe is just not shaped right back there. The shoe isn't too big, it is the way the back is shaped. A heel pad might work but I'd rather find a different shoe that fits correctly. Too bad b/c I love the cushioned footbed and platform.
This shoe is so comfortable and practical. While it is not the prettiest sandal, it is quite cute and sporty. I wear and extra wide width, but the shoe makes my feet look not so wide afterall. I own this shoe in two colors.
Great shoe. Very comfortable. I wear a slim and they felt perfect. I've gotten several compliments.
I love these shoes! They are super soft and comfortable and best of all they fit my narrow feet at the toe area. Many sandals are too wide at the toe straps. I wear a 10N but many brands aren't narrow enough, like Naturalizer. Trotter and VanEli are two brands I can almost always count on. Wish these would come in brown and blue. I have white, pewter and black.
I have a narrow heel and this seems to be staying put.

I love wearing these shoes when Kermie takes me out. He is such a dashing and romantic frog that it takes all my stamina to keep up with him as he wines and dines me. If only they came in wintergreen!
Cute flats with support - almost unheard of right now! And so nice with shoes you don't have to break in. These will be some of my favorite work shoes going forward.
The most comfortable sandals I have ever worn! I am 37 by the way. Very, very light weight, perfect height for all day wear, walking around, driving, and working. Very soft leather, and very comfortably hugging design. Feet can breath in them. They can look a bit old and boring though. I'd like to see more fun colors like metallic or animal prints next season. Overall A! It can look a bit old and boring.
These shoes are very comfortable and cute. I have a narrow foot, so I really appreciate being able to use the Velcro to get a good fit.
Ordered the 10W, my usual size, and fit was okay, maybe a bit short. But the style wasn't what I need - a bit too heavy looking. Seems like it would be a comfortable shoe.
I got the red pair, and they fit well. My high arches feel well supported. I would buy more of these except for one thing: The footbed is covered in a cloth-like material that has stretched out the longer I've worn them. I can sometimes feel the extra material as I walk. Also, I wish they would have just made the foot bed out of plain leather, because whenever dirt or anything gets trapped between my foot and the shoe, it can get embedded into that cloth and becomes difficult to clean off.
These shoes are very comfortable, and for someone who is archless, like me, they cover the flatness of the top of my feet. I ordered an 8½ because 8 was not available - they are a teeny bit long but very wearable. If I have one caution, it is that the leather is so soft that it gives quite a bit and one of the shoes is starting to get a bit loose on my foot. I think they are cute!
