I bought these boots from Zappos over a month ago to wear while doing heavy duty yard work. I love them and don't regret a thing about buying them. I didn't need much of a breaking-in period and didn't get any blisters even though I was climbing hills, hauling rocks, etc. My feet were a little tender at the end of the first few days but that is pretty amazing for a pair of brand new shoes. Get a heavy pair of socks if you are doing anything tough in them...there is room in the shoes, plus there is good toe room.

My podiatrist's recommendation was a Keen work boot - since none were offered in my town, I chose this steel-toed version from Zappos. With my mid-tarsal arthritis pain, and since I was experiencing a lot of instability just plain walking over my old rugged farm land, I was skeptical that this boot would solve all my problems. But it did - and more! The first day I wore them, I dropped the mower deck on my toe! Yay for the new boots! My "dogs" weren't dog-tired at the end of a day of digging fence posts and cutting grass - awesome! Now I wear them just about everywhere since they are not only so comfortable, but they look great! Thanks, Keen! Thanks, Zappos!

I work for a water utility and am required to where steel toed/or composite toe shoes. I am always looking for good name brand shoes that I wear outside of work. When I found Keen had safety shoes available through Zappos I ordered them. They are the most comfortable work shoes I've owned in 25 years. The customer service rep that I spoke to about ordering was very helpful also. Kudos to Zappos for the great job and the great products you serve to customers. Thanks for the great job.

Excellent shoe for working in all conditions. Could use slightly better stock insole though.

Did quite a bit of research on these and they came out highly rated as a work boot. They are the most comfortable boot I have worn on the job but the Gore-Tex makes my feet sweat and the soles are demolished after only 2 months on the job. Too bad, we could have had a nice life together.

Keen is a great brand of shoes! Sturdy, comfy, nice-looking. The higher tops than regular shoes arevery supportive for me. Great price! So far the sizehas been right on-haven't needed to return any pairs.

Great support. Excellent traction on slippery floors. Shoe is a normal weight. Has helped up well for the last 3 weeks. I am a working rgm in a busy restaurant. Feels good and looks like all leather.

Amazing fitting boot. Fit's exactly as marked. Breaks in extremely easy. These boots have me excited to hit the hiking trail or to conquer a long day at work. Very stylish and good looking. I love these boots. Only downside is they are now Hecho en Chino.

These are great! I work in outdoor industrial sites on uneven ground and with many hazards. These are sturdy safe boots that look great I love the colors, I can wear them many things. I mainly wear jeans to work but they would go with dark khaki and blue well. I ordered half a size smaller than my usual size per the other reviews and they are perfect. I am usually a 8 and purchased a 7½. They are a little wide but I wear hiking socks with these and I would rather the room if it gets hot and my feet swell and if you want to add any kind of arch or support insert you could. They are as comfortable as is for me. It is nice to have work boots that are not ugly. These look like standard hiking shoes except they are so much more.

My feet are 8.5 US 4E. Rarely do I ever order a bigger size than what I usually wear when ordering boots. However, after reading multiple reviews claiming that this boot fit small I went ahead and ordered a 9.0 2E. When they arrived I noticed the dark black uppers with bright yellow inners (the leather is extremely soft, with triple and double stitching in different areas). The outsoles had siphoning grooves (like those found in winter tires) which was very impressive. The only other workmanship issue I could find was that the tongues were slightly twisted and not perfectly aligned down the center. The major issue with these boots is that they are way too narrow and "small" fitting. Even with an increased size of a 1/2 size bigger than what I usually wear, these boots were still too narrow. I'd say these size 9 boots felt more like a slightly bigger 8.5. The width was insultingly narrow; specifically, I figured the size 9 would increase the width and make it more comfy and not restrict my large toes, but I was wrong. Do not be fooled by Keen's "anatomically correct" protective toes which claim to have a roomier fit and more comfort. The caps were still just as narrow and puny. By the way, even though Keen's site claims these are aluminum toes, the the printing on the box of the versions I received says that these are asymmetrical composite toes (I must have received an earlier version of these boots). Other issues that I found were that the laces were extremely thick. The hooks at the top of the boot are so small you'll have problems hooking them efficiently. Pros: Good quality uppers. Excellent outsole design. Easy to tighten. Cons: Way too narrow. Small fitting. Other info: Extra laces were included with my pair. The lace hooks are tiny and you will lose time trying to get them to connect. In conclusion, I'd seriously suggest that you try these on at the store before committing to a purchase. I wouldn't buy these boots if you have anything bigger than a 2E foot. Too narrow.

I am a shop foreman for a theater company as well as a master carpenter for several other theaters. I am sometimes on my feet for 16 hours at a time and spend a lot of my day going up and down ladders, kicking things into place and walking back and forth carrying heavy things and my feet take a beating! I recently fell and broke my toe so I was a little worried about these boots; however, even with a swollen broken toe these boots are amazing. They support my feet without being overly stiff and the lacing pattern allows me to make them fit exactly how I need them to. I also have very flat feet and these boots are a life saver!

My husband loves these shoes and this is probably his 3rd or 4th pair. He is on his feet most of the day but needs a polished looking shoe. Although they aren't overly dressy, they work well for his needs.

I'm a chef in DC, Took them out of the box and wore for three weeks feet feel great. Will order a second pair to be able to let them dry out. Anti-slip is perfect for working on ceramic floors.

Slightly wider and larger, but just slightly. Very well constructed. Very easy to put on boot and take off. My only complaint is boot is a little heavy and bulky, but I got used to it fairly quickly. I am very confident boot will last a while so I don't mind paying the extra dough for a well constructed boot. 4 stars is dead on.

It took my feet a few days to get used to being back in a shoe (I've worn clogs for years). These are by far the best shoes I have owned for work yet (long days in a convention center kitchen) my feet rarely are sore and there is no rush to get them off my feet at the end of the day. The foot bed is springy and the rest of the shoe just hugs your foot. I found it to be true to size. Matched with some Keen socks make for the happiest feet ever. Thanks Zappos for the usual great service.

These are comfotable and maybe run a half size big. They seem to be not as well made as they could be for price. After about four weeks of wear I notice a spot by the heel that might be separating which looks like a manufacturing defect. Comfortable and stylish.

These are the best all around walking shoes that I have worn. They fit like a glove and the soles give grip on every surface I have tried, including wet rocks.

These are some of the most comfortable boots I have owned. I have to say it took some getting used to though, wasn't accustomed to the wider toe and it made me feel clumsy in the beginning. Now that I am past the clumsy stage, I love them. Everyone likes them at work till they find out the price. The reason I am writing this review is because, with less than 3 months of use, the tread is already wearing and peeling off. Not sure if this is an isolated event, but at this price I need them to last a full year. All my coworkers will never buy these if they break down this easy.

Great overall low top work boots very comfortable and breathable! I have wide feet and they still fit well at regular width. Soles wear a little quickly but I will buy another pair - they are worth it.
