I for one found these shoes to be a delight. Being a long-time J&M fan, when I went on my quest for a pair of Chukkas I knew where to go. The shoes are very flexible and comfortable. The size is the same as any other J&M shoe. While it's true there isn't much arch-support, I did not find them uncomfortable after a day's work. Don't let the reviews fool you; there is arch-support compared to something like Converses, just not as much as a sneaker.

Very comfortable shoe, but also a very snug fit. I had to order a half a size larger to get a comfortable fit. The shoe itself is decent looking, not the coolest shoe you will ever wear, but better then a sneaker, and just as comfortable. This is a huge plus for someone like me who has trouble finding comfortable shoes.

I am very disappointed in these shoes. I purchased them less than two months ago and have already had to take them into a shoe repair shop. The dye used does not penetrate deeply into the shoes. If anything touches your foot, it will leave a scuff that requires polish. I shared an elevator with my boss yesterday, he saw my feet and said, "Ha! I think it is time for a new pair of shoes." That is unacceptable for a two month old pair that has been professionally shined and worked on to remove scuffs. Look elsewhere. Will not purchase Johnston & Murphy moving forward.

These are probably the most comfortable shoes that I have ever put on straight out of the box. I will not even need to add an insole like I usually do. They are a great style for everyday wear.

These shoes fit great and are more comfortable after every wearing. They look great and are quiet on stone or wood floors.

Well this is odd, if you read the reviews you see people saying they are either a size too big or a size too small. The pair I received were way too big (10.5). They felt comfortable and looked good but I will be sending them back. Now I just need to decide if I should try size 9.5.

Great shoes. Good look, fairly light, nice tread, comfortable. The heel is padded as well. Probably going to upsize by a half size to fit insoles.

Very stylish, handsome pair of footwear. The cushion, however, is weak. The shoe is half-size to a full size large and lacks good cushion. But a pair of Dr. Scholl's does the trick. But overall, I like these shoes.

Comfortable but felt a little bigger for the size, might have just been the difference in width, but as usual Zappos rocks!

I have the brown suede and I am very satisfied with them. The support works for me, pretty comfortable. Does run a little small. Work with business casual or with jeans on the weekend.

Great shoe--like others, I had to go down in size, not up. I ended up a full size below my athletic shoe size. I think they recommend a larger size b/c the insole is well padded, but it didn't seem to make a difference for me. Now it fits great tho. Very comfortable and looks great too!

Great quality dress shoe that will last a long time. We purchased the same pair in black since it was so nice and comfortable.

A very comfortable and well-made shoe. The workmanship is beautiful inside and out. Very stable shoe with good side support, and with very soft and comfortable sheepskin lining inclluding the padded foot bed. The rubber soles have just enough flex and are slip resistant. I have a narrow heal but wide transverse arch and usually wear a 10.5 E or EE. These only come in D width so I ordered 11D. Thes fit perfect!

Great shoe! They are much darker than pictured here though. I would almost say mine are mud brown. I wear an 11 and first I listened to all the reviews and ordered a 10.5. It didn't fit so returned it and got the 11. Zappos was great and overnighted it.

This boot rocks! Very comfy, stylish and high quality materials that will last.

These are good looking shoes, but definitely much bigger than marked. They are at least a half, if not a full size, too large.

Great shoes for my wedding. I have a wide foot so ordered E in 10.5. The shoe definitely ran larger in both width and length and I had to return. Got a 10 in D and this pair fits like a glove. These shoes look amazing and were a very classy pair for my wedding. I will wear them with a suit to work now too. Also, Zappos customer service and return policy is awesome.

I own two of the Harding panel shoes and have had the same problem with both. After just a few weeks of wearing the shoes, the rubber sole becomes very hard and slippery rather than remaining soft and flexible. As a result, when walking across certain surfaces such as polished floors or stone floors, and any wet surface including indoor and outdoor surfaces, the shoes become very slippery. There does not need to be lots of moisture for the shoes to become slippery. As mentioned, it can occur even when the floor is not wet. I can now only wear the shoes when I know that I will not be walking much outside of my office, and I have had to purchase two different manufacturer's shoes to replace the two that I cannot wear when it rains. I strongly urge you to consider where the shoe will be worn. Although the shoes are relatively comfortable, the issue with the sole means that I will never purchase this style again.

I was looking for a very particular kind of boot to replace my worn out Cherokees. I didn't want something super aggressive looking, but I wanted something that would still function like a boot. So Chukkas were out. I found these and I'm very happy. Comfortable, good looking and well made. I was very picky with that what I wanted, and these ticked all the boxes.
