Blundstone Reviews
I read reviews before purchasing, and for those who had a hard time getting them on, try this: pull both front and back tabs to stretch the top open then slip your foot in. It is very comfy as well as warm with a pair of heavy wool socks. I probably should have ordered a 6 rather than 6.5, but they are "okay." Too bad they are no longer made in Australia! At least they aren't made in a place I can't agree with!
Love these! I had to send the first pair back, as they were about 1/2 a size too small based on the web site conversion to US sizes. But, the correctly sized shoes are brilliant. A little tight at first, but very comfortable once they were broken in. Not stylish...but then Blunnies are not stylish. But very well made and feel like they are natural part of your feet once you have worn them for a while.
I finally found the right Blundstone, thanks to Zappos and my daughter who gave me a gift certificate. I had purchased a size 7 Blundstone in black5 years ago for my size 71/2-8 (USA) foot. The fit was slightly tight but I loved the shoe so much I wore them hoping they would loosen a bit. I took advantage of the Zappos free shipping and ordered a pair in 7 1/2 walnut and when they were a bit tight ordered one in AU 8 (US9). The description of the Blundstone being an outdoor slipper also helped me, since the AU 8 felt comfortable and fit like a slipper. I am very happy with my purchase and plan to order a pair in black to replace the tight ones I have struggled with.
It said to size down (a 7.5 AU is a 8.5 USA), but this boot is very loose after just a few days of wear. I feel like you should size up a half size rather than a full size. I wore these in the snow so I don't think they can be returned. As for quality these are great boots. They are easy to get on, and the leather is very nice and soft. You can tell this is a quality boot which is to be expected for the price.
I love these shoes. The sizing was a little confusing. The drop down box lists the size conversion to US. However, if you click on the "size chart" it shows the UK a half size larger. I ordered from the drop down, but had to exchange for the bigger size shown in the "size chart" link.
I've had a pair of these for about 4 years. They fit very well even though I have wide feet. They are very practical, they are not wearing well however. The leather upper has cracked on pretty much every point where it was under stress, and I am very conscientious about polishing them, and looking after the leather. I used to wear them in the winter in NYC, where I think the salt probably did a lot of damaged. I've since bought a pair of Blundstones 500s, which are not as comfortable , but handle the abuse better.
I ordered these after reading an article on a flight contributed by a frequent traveler who said they were a great travel shoe. The fit is fine but I can't imagine spending 10+ hours in this shoe at once.
Every member of my family has a pair of blunties, so we are huge fans. This pair was for my daughter and she loves them. They are the perfect winter shoes like flip-flops in the summer. The fit is great. They are definitely water-resistant/proof, providing them decent arch support. I wear them everyday. They are great muck shoes.
As usual excellent service from Zappos. I wear between a 13 and 14 size shoe, depending on make and model. I got the 14's and they fit very well.
This is an unbelievably great work boot. My husband loves the lightweight yet sturdy for his job. He's on his feet 10 hours a day sometimes 6 days a week. It has a wide solid steel toe so your toes don't cramp. I actually bought a pair for myself for camping. I have a very wide foot and it felt great. It's very true to size. It's built very well. You won't be disappointed.
This is the 1st pair of Blunnies I've purchased since they moved their operation out of Australia. The boots seem to be crafted about the same. The only difference is that the leather is a bit more stiff and has a little chemical smell to it and the elastic is bit tighter. Overall though, it is pretty much the same boot to those made in Australia. I have worn Blundstones pretty much everyday for 10 years and I don't see that changing.
A nice short version of my favorite boots. I have lots of foot problems but blunnies always seem to work well for me.
A former urban dwelling guy, moves to the country, and has his Green Acres moment... that's me. I bought a farm and needed a good pair of work boots. So I bought two pair. One from eBay (different brand) and these. Just about the same price. The ones from eBay? Junk. They went out in a week. These? Going into their 4th week and they have done extremely well. They'd last forever in the city that's for sure.
So far these shoes have been amazing! I bought them for work, as something that would look good but be able to withstand my snowy walk to work and keep my feet dry. They are comfortable, look good, seem super durable, and have great traction. The only time they feel uncomfortable is driving for some reason. After a few hours my heel started to hurt, but I have no idea if this is a fault of the shoe at all. Sizing was a little weird (usually I wear a 9 or 9.5 but had to get an 8.5 US man's).
I bought these to replace my ten year old pair of the same model. I wore them day in and day out for years, and will do the same with this pair. Glad to have a replacement--these are made like iron. Best boots ever.
This is a great shoe! At first wearing this was snug, and I thought they wouldn't fit, but since then they have been perfect. They are true to size, offer a classic look and look great with jeans. They are worth the money.
