Not as great in person as in the photo. The applique on the back of the heel isn't attached so it makes a weird silhouette. But not bad.
Love these boots! A little bit narrower than I expected, but i have wide feet!
I love these boots so much more than I thought I would. I have been on a search for a pair of boots that stands up straight on my leg and doesn't slouch or bunch up. I figured it was impossible until I found these! I don't consider myself to have skinny calves--13.5 and ordered an 8 to make sure the shaft wasn't too tight. These fit perfectly and the shaft stands straight up on my leg. I'm usually a 7.5 but wanted to make sure they were comfortable enough to wear thick socks. The 8 fits fine and I definitely have some room in the leg and toe. Much better quality than I expected, the leather and structure look better in person.
I love these boots! I have tiny calves (13") and I'd been looking everywhere for tall boots that wouldn't look like rain boots on me. These are very comfortable and I love the ruffling detail. The leather is also firm enough to stay up without slouching. I'm usually an 8 but I wanted to be able to wear thick socks inside these so I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly with thicker socks. This is not a boot for athletic calves!
I ordered these shoes for an event in Vegas. Strappy sandals are coming back in style, and these are pretty hot. But they are not easy to walk in. I am pretty much a high-heel pro and these were tough for me. Only purchase these if you are a stiletto pro.
First I'll say Zappos is a super company. I've had smooth sailing with every single order. As for the boots themselves, they are like imitation leather and real leather. The only part that feels real is that ruffle part. It is really cute and I will keep them, but I d have to say they are overpriced everywhere for the quality of the boot. All the photos are a little misleading. The shaft is snug on an average to slender leg and the footbed is narrow as well. I got the dark brown and the shade varies as the material it's made from is different. Even though I m keeping these because I love the style so much, these changed my mind on getting the "Marl" boot in this brand.
