Overall:

DON'T BUY THESE SHOES! Yes, I know, these shoes look flippin' awesome, they are amazingly comfy, and the gel support is nice, but these shoes aren't durable at all. I skated in them for about 2 weeks, then they just totally destroyed themselves, the foam in the heel fell out and I was left with something that looked like a limp, purple pair of Converse.

These shoes skated exactly how I wanted them to. They looked great and were the perfect fit as well. The soles were bald pretty fast though, especially the heel. Besides the sole everything about them is perfect if you ask me. The shipping was incredibly fast too, which was great. This explains why I saw Zappos used as an example in my marketing textbook as one of the leading online shoe retailers. Keep up the good work guys.

I bought these shoes about a month ago because they looked amazing. They took about 4 days to get here with standard shipping on Zappos. So I started skating these and immediately fell in love. These Vox are probably one of the best skate shoes ever made other than Vans half cabs. Support Vox. A+

This shoe is the best slip on pair I have ever owned. The sole has extra support, which goes a long way when it comes to thinner shoes such as this. The velcro aids in keeping a tighter fit to prevent any sort of slipping off. The overall area is very flexible and isn't showing instant sign of flex bending at the toe area like most do. These are very easy to keep clean and feel like they will last quite some time, even with the everyday wear I have already challenged them with. Definitely the top of the line in Slip ons. Highly recommended if you enjoy the alternative style.

Very nice shoe, lots of grip and very comfortable. One problem with Zappos after buying 8 pairs of shoes, these come looking worn and had some dirt. Did not return; I'm lazy; it's too much of a hassle.

These are great shoes, my son loves them. The experience with Zappos was also very good. We received the shoes with in a couple of days!! After shopping for several hours at the mall without success, we ordered these shoes in just a few minutes. Great service!!

I bought these for my nine year old son. Great skate shoes, not so great for regular wear; he says they are not good for running in gym class or on the playground- which makes sense since they are flat and a little heavier than regular sneakers- but he has been able to work on his ollie- a great skate shoe.\r\n\r\n

This shoe is absolutely beautiful, especially in true blue. It looks good with every pair of jeans and shorts that I have. I wear a size 12 and there's a little space left at the tip for some toe breathing room. The only complaint about this great shoe is the padding; there just isn't enough. You'll feel every smack to the pavement on your board, especially after some LDs or stairs. But the look almost outweighs the discomfort. Overall great shoe, and Zappos gave me free overnight shipping! I got these beauties in two days! Thanks Zappos!

First of all I must say Zappos is the best shoe seller in the world. One minute I'm ordering the shoe, another their in my hands! This shoe is very exciting in the red and black color. The red stands out very nicely and the shoe fits pretty good. I skated for about 2 hours in them today and I can tell they will hold up well. Definitely an improvement from the Hewitt 1. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a different shoe than everyone else, but doesn't want anything too off the wall! Great shoe!

I'm 19 and I skate in these shoes every day. I've beat em up so bad. My old slip ons lasted like 6 weeks; these have lasted like 6 months and still going strong. Not to mention that these shoes look bad ass.

These shoes are good for skating, but they blow out so fast! The grip is good for like 3 months, the toe thing rips open, and yea, you rip a golf ball sized hole in the sides. They're very comfortable though, easy to break in. And the shoelace guarders work, I've only ripped through like 2 sets of laces, and I've skated them for about 7 months now.

This is the first shoe that I\'ve bought online that was more than 30 dollars. I was doubting that they were going to fit, that I wasn\'t going to like them. But I was wrong.\r\n\r\nRight as I pulled them out of the box, everyone around me began to drool. The shoes look great, fit wonderfully, ride well, and I can\'t wait to start finding their sister pair.\r\n\r\nGood job!

Great bowl riding shoes! Mine are over a year old and are holding up fine. Tons of knee slides and the toes are in excellent condition. The bottoms are worn but still get plenty of traction on good grip tape.

My son LOVES these sneakers. He is 13 and skateboards everyday. We have a local skateboard park her in Cary. So, my son gives his skateboard sneakers a run for their money. And the best thing of all is Zappos, I will only buy shoes from Zappos. Wonderful customer service and speed of light shipping. Love it.

These shoes are the most comfy shoes I have ridden a skateboard with. I may be a novice skateboarder, but even cruising is a fun time. The style I think is very good. I like the mid top design because it's what no one really has and it looks really good.

without a doubt the worst shoe ever designed. on second thought i may have liked the shoe if i could have gotten it on. this shoe is impossible to put on unless your foot is skinner than your ankle. it just doesnt work. the only shoe i have ever returned.

These shoes suck. They lasted two months and at the end of those two months there was a baseball sized hole in the bottom of one shoe and many golf ball sized holes all around both shoes.

These shoes were great for about a week, because it took nothing to break them in. Once i skated them for about a week they were trash. i had the shoes for just over two months and they now have a baseball sized hole in the bottom of the right shoe a golf ball sized hole on the the big toe of the right shoe and a bunch of little holes all over both shoes. I think all in all the shoe was about as tough as skating a with my bare feet rapped up in a tshirt

These shoes are sick! I broke an ankle skateboarding 3 years ago and after surgery with screws and pins, it still feels week. I have been using one of those sports lace up ankle braces, but it’s too much. I started looking at high tops and these looked fresh, so I bought ‘em. I didn’t know if I could skate high tops, the feel is definitely different, but I got used to it. They are wicked comfortable, I like the looks and they give my ankle support without needing the brace. As for Zappos, good people, friendly and easy to deal with, and I got the shoes FAST!

I purchased these for my 13 year old son. HE LOVES THEM. I find the green laces to be a bit much, but they do come with black laces in the box. They are true to size, and for my son, who is very "fashion" picky, these fit the bill perfectly. He picked them out, so I know it must be popular with kids 13-17, because all of my sons liked them.

I got these shoes when I was trying out different companies and seeing if other companies made some decent, long lasting shoes. (I had been sticking with Vans for quite some time). Well to be honest with you, these were a waste of money! Even though they have decent board feel and good ankle support, these shoes wore out at an alarming rate. Within two weeks of owning this particular pair of shoes, the bottom of the shoes, yes even my back feet (I ride goofy) were "bald" as another reviewer put it. I am a street skater and the shoes I look for normally have to be both durable and comfortable. This shoe was comfortable but not durable. I am not certain as to whether or not these would be good for the "park skater" but I would not recommend this to any "street skater".

The Vox Trooper (Relief) is the best skate shoe IMO. Complete comfort with a great price, but definitely buy a 1/2 size smaller than you would normally to get a good fit.
