I bought these for my husband. He says they are the best fitting most comfortable boots he has ever worn! Great ankle support, cushioned bottom, room for toes to move. Great purchase for anyone who does a lot of work outside.

Brought these boots for my husband who works in Law Enforcement. He loves them, very comfy looks heavy but are very light. The boots also provides great ankle support.

Another great buy from Zappos! An excellent boot whether you're in law enforcement or not. Surprisingly light for a steel toe boot, great ankle support, extremely comfortable, easy on/off with the side zipper. Great tread on bottom too. Highly recommended!

Depends what you are expecting from these. If you want to wear them everyday and give them a little beating, they'll last about 4 or 5 months. If you're using these for special occasions then they are fine. Great shine

On my feet all day at work, these perform very well, very comfortable. Look good also. The inside adjust is very unique and useful to customize the fit to each individual foot postion when walking.

I am female and wear a size W shoe or boot, which isn't easy to find.I also have foot problems. I often buy men's shoes or boots, especially for work. I work outside and wanted a boot for spring/fall weather that is comfortable. These are very comfortable, the only problem I had was the padding around the ankle rubbed on my leg and was uncomfortable. Not sure what I will do about that. I also like that these didn't have too much arch support, which I can't handle. Except for the ankle part, they are very comfortable.

I'm very tough on shoes, usually burn through a pair in less than a year. But for the past 2 years, I've worn a pair of these Bates E02366 Delta-6 Gore-Tex Side Zip Boots. They are comfortable, flexible, provide superb ankle support and foot protection, cool in summer, warm enough and dry in winter. I use Nikwax aqueous wax to keep 'em shiny, cause Nikwax is OK for both Leather and Goretex. I wear these as my every day shoe, walking about 2 miles daily during my commute to work, and also wearing them while in the lab and office. I've also worn them hiking in Europe and the US. I've run a 5K in these, climbed up an icy slope, and worn them for 16 hour stretches with good comfort. They are waterproof, breathable, have a nonslip sole. If you have them sized correctly, they require a bit of a tug to put on but slide right off. The side-zip feature is awesome. I adjust the laces to get exactly the fit I want, then leave the laces tied, I retie them about once a month when they get slightly loose. I can run in these boots, walk through deep Chicago slush while keeping my feet warm and dry. After 2 years of near-constant wear, I am now buying an identical replacement pair because the heel of the outsole is almost worn down. Otherwise the rest of the shoe has held up very well. Best shoe I've owned.

As always, Zappos' service is remarkable. The shoes fit well initially, though I have not yet worn them over an extended period (like all day). I last bought a pair of Bates high gloss uniform oxford shoes when I was active duty military 17 years ago. The quality of the shoes does not seem to be the same - these shoes seem lighter and not as sturdy as I remember them being. I suspect these shoes won't last as long as previous pairs of Bates I've had, but I won't know that till later. Bates offers a more expensive shoe - maybe these are the shoes I seem to remember.

These are quality shoes. They are serving their purpose! True to size. I love 'em. Highly recommended.

I use this shoe with my uniform, and it is quite comfortable. I have not made it yet to the summer months, but in the winter they are warm enough that I have not had to wear a thicker sock. The grip is nice even when we get the occasional rain, and they shine nicely with a wood polish wipe. Great purchase for the money.

I have poor circulation in my feet, this is first pair of patrol boots that have kept me warm all tour.Heavy and very tough to break-in at first.

I've had this boot for nearly a year and love them. Company gets us boots once a year and Bates will be my choice again. They are very comfortable, which I need since I work 12 hour shifts.

Good boots; but feels like the right one have a defect located at the top of the toe bone, bothered me for couple weeks probably need to break in a little bit. Any way they feel better after breaks in.

First time buying with Zappos and I would recommend them to everyone. I ordered my regular size and received them the following day. The boots ran a little small for me. I called and they sent out the next size at no charge. The boots fit great and feel great. Great job Zappos!

Ordered as a hunting boot. Broke in well and comfortable to wear climbing off trail in laurel thickets and over rocks. 3-4E in width- may just be the style that was tighter rather than loose with hunting socks. Zipper didn't leak, but the tongue isn't sewn in so not going to work for mountainous hunting. Expect will be good choice field hunting or hiking.

I needed these shoes for a Fire Department parade dress uniform. They arrived in the usual Zappos speedy fashion, and they fit great, but one arrived with a big dull area on the top. This spot was only made worse after a few wipes with a damp cotton cloth. Seconds, anyone?

These are good boots. They break in after 1 day and fit perfectly after. Nice feel, solid, and comfortable. Def a good buy.

The boots appear to be made well. I have been wearing them for about a month and they show little wear on the leather. They shine up really well, for those officers who are required. They can get a little hot, but that is expected of waterproof boots. These are a good value. The sizing is not ideal. I normally wear a 10, but these run long and narrow. I started with a 10 but they were a size too big. When I swapped them for a 9, the 9 was too narrow, so I settled on a 9 wide. They fit perfect. I have never had to get a wide shoe or boot before so it is the boot not my foot. Thanks to Zappos for the amazing exchange policy as this was very easy to get the right size and I will be purchasing from them in the future.
