About Reef
Reef sandals were born from the surf, sand, and the minds of two brothers from Argentina, Fernando and Santiago Aguerre. Fueled by their passion for surfing, and armed with a unique entrepreneurial spirit, the brothers acted on an idea to create a high quality, active lifestyle sandal. The two brothers founded Reef in La Jolla, California, and with $4,000 working capital, some hard work, dedication and some savvy marketing ideas, the brothers built Reef into a respected core surf brand by creating some of the best Reef sandals in the business.

These are the best! Comfortable, last a long time. I have 10 pairs!
These are cute but they were of a much cheaper quality than I expected based on prior reviews. They come with a hang tag, rather than in a box, as you might expect from lower end retailers.
My husband wears these and only these Reef flip flops! He says they are the most comfortable shoe ever. I wear Reef and so do my 3 boys! They are the best! Also, this combo can go as a dress sandal or just flip floppin' around!
I bought these in my usual size to replace the Sophie style that I wore out. In this style the straps are tighter against my feet and gave me blisters the first couple times I wore them. I stretched the straps out a bit and now the shoes are not as tight, but the shoes also do not feel like they line up correctly with my arches. It is not a sizing problem because my feet fits fine within the dimensions of the shoe and I have four other pairs of Reef shoes that fit correctly.
This is a very comfortable and sturdy shoe. It's perfect beach bum attire for fish out of water, casual workplace, or an evening out and about. It's comfortable, but the thin soles took a little to get used to driving in, but these are next best to being barefoot. The one drawback is the tags tend to be uncomfortable and stick to the top of the foot. It is not really annoying, but just a very minor (trying to find a) negative.
Gave less stars for bad sizing. Cute, nice length, good material. There is ruching on the sides w/ a pull strap that I didn't notice on the pic. My main problem is that it's TINY. I realize they're supposed to be tight, but I don't think I could even get it on. I'm a S/M, ordered the M, and it looks (width-wise), sized for my 10 year old, 60 lb daughter! I bought a pair two years ago and they are now ready to be replaced for the Summer 2012. These are the best flip flops you can buy. Very comfortable and very strong.
I've worn the Reef Smoothy for nearly 20 years. It's the best thong sandal I've ever worn. I live in a warm climate and literally wear them every day for 7.5 months per year. Ideally, they should start out a little snug, because the cushioned footbed will squish down and conform to he shape of your feet. I find that a pair will last two 7.5 month seasons. I buy a new pair every year, to maintain two colors in the lineup. Great quality, great price, great warm weather comfort. I'm an old surfer, and I can tell you, this is the real deal.
Very comfortable shoes with a lot of cushion. Feels a bit tight at first, once you break in it's very comfortable.
These are very cute flip-flops. They seem to run a bit small. I am a size 8 and ordered 8. my heel goes right to the edge, but that is the way I like flip-flips to fit. I do not like to have a lot of extra sole hanging out. They can be dressy, too.

I have always been a fan of Reef's and these are no different. I wear a size 6.5 or 7 and went with the 7 and they fit perfect. So comfortable, squishy sole and the straps are a little more "glittery" than I was expecting, but it was a pleasant surprise. I can't wait until it's warmer out and I can wear these all the time!
These shoes are cute for dressing up a casual outfit. The rubber straps aren't as comfortable as some other strap material, but as long as I don't go for long walks everything is okay.
Extremely comfortable. I'm flat footed but I can walk in these all day. Start to smell a little if you don't wear socks.
The Reef Fanning provides good support and comfort with the high heel, low ball design. They hug my feet so I'm not curling my toes to keep them on. They are very well made and have good traction.
I have been wearing the Fanning Reef sandals for a few years after a recommendation by a swimming coach. She had several pairs and swore by the comfort. I have to agree. Your feet will not tire as with other flips. You will find yourself wearing them around the house in the winter too! They are a little pricey but the Fanning is worth every penny. Reef has an edge on design and styles but the fanning type is tops. The crazy signature bottle opener on the sole is a hoot! I have purchased them for ages 8-60.
These shoes were comfortable, but they turn the bottom of my feet black every time I wear them and does not wash off very easy. Would not buy again.
Love these! Bought the black ones last year before I moved to Florida and wear them all the time...so I had to buy another pair! Besides being the most comfortable flip flops I've ever owned, they also have amazing traction. They're perfect for the boat and the dock...no slipping and they float in the water (I've had a man overboard once or twice). I'd recommend these to anyone who's on the water all the time and wants some cute, safe, comfy flip flops.
The color is Gold. Very gold. It's a very cute shoe but the 8 was too wide for my foot. I usually wear a 7 1/2.
