Finish did flake off, you can probably polish it. What's worse was the fit, ran wider and did not fit contours of foot very well. Was too loose in some places and too tight in others. Will spend more and find a replacement.

The ankle was too narrow for me to wear these boots, so I donated them to a veterans homeless coat and shoe drive. They looked really good though. :/

I absolutely love these shoes! I ordered the Dylan Plain Toe in Black here from Zappos. When they arrived they were comfortable from the word go. I was hoping that I might own them as long as my previous pair that I had a few years back. Well, September became February and the soles of the shoes are wearing out at the heel - actually they are worn through on the left, allowing small stones to enter the hollow heel, turning the shoe into a rattle. Just over four months and the shoes are toast. I am just shaking my head; what has Nunn Bush done with these shoes?

Sturdy and comfortable. Started a little too stiff but broke in very quickly. The edges around the ankle still feel sharper than my last pair of shoes, but I'm getting used to it.

I bought these as my 2nd pair of Nunn Bush footwear, and 2nd pair of shoe/sandal hybrid (other being a more expensive Salomon). These will be more casual looking than Teva/Keens but still hold their own as an outdoor/walk/hike shoe. If you wear these barefoot, you'll first notice and later be grateful for the alligator skin-like textured inner sole on the fore-foot area, it feels amazing. Overall it's like marshmallows (or a pillow like the other reviewer said)on your feet and walking takes on a very pleasant feel. The lacing system seems to work well enough but I find that my foot fits well even without any further tension. I found that they ran a little large and they are so comfortable and low key that I am going to keep them anyways since Zappos is low on sizes. I got the black which means I need to go to Walmart with white socks on.

Great shoe for comfort and support. I have trouble with fasciitis in my left ankle which has been alleviated with this shoe.

Hi, well I am the great searcher of shoes for the hubs! I started out on a quest a mo. ago, as he has hammer toes and has had recent surgery on two of the toes. Very sensitive tootsies that need a wide toe box and still functional for tromping around during the day outside. First I tried really hip boots, which looked the bomb, but oh they hurt! He needed a shoe that did not need breaking in. I spent a lot on boots and then ran across this little winners. Out of the box, orthodics in, on the foot and off to work. As usual arrived in one day (because I ordered early) and I am so glad he is comfortable. These aren't the hottest of hot, let's face it, but if you work on your feet all day and and wear jeans, these look good. Better for sure in person! They are also waterproof leather. The price was the stunner for me. I say if in doubt buy them, I have taken advantage of Zappos return policy a million times. (Well not a million.) But lots! They do have an inner sole, while he has his own custom orthodics. They definitely look better on, and are a nice shiny black and nicely smooth. I am picky because I want my hubs looking good, and these are not geezer shoes. Definitely watch the video and try them with pants on! And remember the comfort level on the mark. Hope this helps! Oh by the way, My husband has worn a 9 1/2 in the past but I buy him a 10 now for his owie toes. But I would say unless you have one foot longer than other, go for true to size, as I indicated. :)

I got these shoes for Christmas this year and although I have only worn them twice, I found them to be very comfortable. I did a good bit of walking both times and the shoes felt good.

Zappos was the answer to my shopping dilemma. My boyfriend wears a 'hard-to-fit' size. I easily found what he wanted on Zappos on the first shopping experience. I was amazed and thoroughly pleased. He loves the shoes and the fit is perfect. We will be back! Love you Zappos!

They look fine and they feel comfortable just as everyone else says. But on the work floor the soles squeak like you wouldn't believe. I hate these shoes for that reason only, and if I hadn't worn them before arriving at work I would have returned them in a heartbeat.

I was looking for a casual black shoe in a wide width and these popped up on a Google search. Nunn Bush are known to make a fine quality shoe but I didn't know anything about Zappos. So I read their return policy and felt confident enough to order these shoes. They arrived quickly and were well packaged. The shoes are true to size, well made, and very comfortable. The trick to finding a comfortable shoe is to look for ones made of harness or strap leather or tumbled leather. You also need to get shoes wide enough for your feet. Soft, pliable leather and wide shoes will feel very comfortably right out of the box. Socks are very important as well, so wear a good pair of wool socks or a wool/cotton blend. I like wool because it wicks the moisture away but does not absorb odors. If wool makes your skin itch then use a thick cotton sock. Now that I have death with Zappos I feel confident enough to recommend them to others who want to try ordering shoes online rather than limit themselves to what's available at their local shoe store.

I have owned other Nunn Bush shoes. This one did not feel as comfortable. Not much support, didn't look as nice. For a few bucks more I went with the Dockers, which seemed to be built better and looked and felt nicer. Returned the NB shoes.

Great place to shop! No hassles they aim to please. 1st shoe was small no problem shipped out shoe next day. This is what online shopping should be with every store.

I wear these shoes for work where I'm on on my feet for at least ten hours a shift. They have stayed comfortable and lasted longer than other shoes I have purchased.

Great shoe, very comfortable to wear to work all day. The brown leather scuffs very easily.

I was disappointed that the band designed to add comfort actually caused discomfort. Found the Deer Stag (Times) to be more comfortable for far less.

These dress boots are my professional work shoes. When I order from Zappos, the quality is consistent and my shoes are delivered the next day.

Marked as 3E, but is only just Wide. Wide and 3E are not the same. A bit misleading. Customer service, as usual, was very helpful but the websites' width should just say W or E...not 3E.

This is a solid shoe, easy break in, and comfortable from the start. The gel heel takes a little getting used to if you are not used to gel insoles. I would have liked a little more arch support.

I'm writing this review after a few months of wearing these shoes. Overall I like them. They are a great contemporary style and are very comfortable. The problem I have is that these shoes don't wear well. I've only had them for 6 months and they look pretty beat up. Kind of disappointing for an otherwise good shoe.
