Dating back to 1912, it was the Greb family from Kitchener, Ontario that began the Kodiak journey with the first giant step; a boot designed to help Canadians brave the harsh climates and conditions they face everyday. It was called the Greb boot.

As decades passed, Kodiak began contracts with the Canadian Armed Forces which led to many of the "firsts" that Kodiak has celebrated in Canada. In the 1950's, Kodiak introduced the first fully waterproof boot. Kodiak is still the name in outdoor/industrial footwear that defines safety and continues to provide the latest technologies and what consumers across the globe have come to expect, the very, very best!

Today, Kodiak is the premier product of choice in Canada and has just planted a major stake in the ground in the United States. Kodiak USA was formed in early 2005 with a new US inspired product line specifically engineered with state of the art technologies and components to satisfy our friends, the hard working Americans.
