Not much nice to say about these. Shoelaces don't even glide through to tighten easily. Particularly don't care for the way the tongue is attached on one side. With a wide foot, this makes the shoe look like a very poor fit.

Only good thing: these are incredibly lightweight. Not enough room in the toe box...but didn't feel as wide as other brands' wide. Construction seems poor, not as good as I'd expect for the price. Felt as though my ankles would roll to the outside...where I have a heavy outer heel strike. Flat out returned them.

Funny your request came as I was, again, attempting to try wearing these sneaks. I so love the color, such a well known brand, had them on, walking 3 hours, had to take them off. The right shoe just doesn't accommodate my foot & pinches/squeezes mercilessly! Left foot is just fine. I expect these will be given away. Very disappointed because they hurt so much & this has happened on several wearings. Don't think I can do anything to stretch the toe box on the right shoe.

I really like these shoes. They fit great and I already have a couple of hundred miles on the shoes and they show little wear.

I've worn a New Balance size 12 for over 15 years. I had to return the size 12 as it was too small on my feet. I had to guess that it was a 1/2 size too small since I do not currently have a half size bigger shoe to try on. That is why it received low marks from me. Otherwise I am looking forward to getting this shoe in a bigger size.

Received them yesterday. Unpacked them today and went on a short 2-mile hike and they felt great! Strangely, while the soles looked unused the uppers appeared to have tiny scratches. Looks only cosmetic though, and I'm still one happy camper.

I've gone through 3 pairs of these in about 18 months with fairly regular use (3-4 times/week) but I think this was my last set. The sole either wears out quickly, comes apart from the shoe, or most recently, breaks apart. I got a replacement set for free after the first ones died so quickly and then gave them one more shot but I'm giving up now.

While the looks and feel are fine, the inside is not finished correctly and it leaves very sharp plasticky "fabric" pieces unglued or unsewn at the bottom of the tongue near the toes that actually cut! Both feet exhibit this. Incredible that NB would put something like this out.

I've always had a New Balance foot, and these fit so well and accommodate my orthotics quite easily. Great shoes, especially if you are a pronator like me!

I have wide, flat feet and need a stable shoe with motion control. These could have worked, but I couldn't believe how tight the toes were! I ordered a 2E! I have B widths in other brands with more room in the toes. If not for that, I probably would have kept them.

I have wide, flat feet and need very supportive shoes to avoid pain after lots of walking. Of all the shoes I've ordered from Zappos, I hated these the least. I still had to send them back - if I'm going to pay that much I want to be in love with the shoes, not just "Meh, I guess these aren't horrible." It's possible they could have worked for me, but I didn't want to wear them outside only to discover that they killed my feet after a mile or two. My main complaint is that they seem flimsy and cheap. It's true, they are billed as "lightweight," which, if that is the main thing you want in a shoe, these could work for you. But the main thing I need is stability and motion control, which these don't really provide. I could see them working for Zumba, spin class, etc but not for 3-plus mile walks on concrete and gravel.

Very comfortable shoe. I do a lot of city running, and my minumus shoes weren't doing the job, so I decided to get something with a little more support, these are great. My foot is just a little wide, so I decided to go with the wide version - I probably would have been okay with the regular-width shoe. I also have high arches, that sometimes get squished with certain shoes, but these did not do that.

I have worn the SL-2 last in New Balance shoes for years. Sad to say, they have badly compromised their quality for the almighty dollar. Shoes are now shorter and narrower than ever as well as lacking the padding that once set them apart. Zappos Company has certainly kept its integrity through the years, but not New Balance. Having worn the shoes once, I cannot return. I am out the money, and New Balance has lost a customer.

Bought this shoe to have a lighter summer alternative for my early morning 2-mile walk. It is fine. Light-weight, cool, and my arch support fits inside comfortably.

These shoes are full in the toe area and most importantly they are made in USA. This is my third pair over the years and I plan to buy another color soon.

I really wanted an understated slip-on sneaker, mainly for travel. They're easy to slip on and off at the airport, and they're lightweight.

Wow, these are REALLY bright. Lots of jokes coming my way that people don't can't see who I am because they're blinded by my shoes!

From the very first moment I put these shoes on they were perfect. There was no "break in" period. These shoes are sturdy enough for light hiking, but light enough for daily wear around town. And, as always, Zappos' service is second to none.

I've had these shoes a few weeks. They're sturdy and comfortable, and the extra-wide size is wide enough for my ever-widening feet. They're good walking shoes with a very understated style that doesn't scream for attention. The only thing I don't understand is why the laces are twice as long as they need to be, but most shoes these days ship that way. Arch support is moderate; if you need more, you might want to add an insert or replacement insole. This shoe is inexpensive enough that you can spend a little extra accessorizing and still not spend as much as a more status-conscious shoe.

I love these shoes. I have Neuropathy and have a hard time finding something comfortable. These are well made and fit perfectly.

I bought Brooks Ariel for years on the advice of my podiatrist. I buy new shoes every year because I wear sneakers 90% of the time, with orthotics. This year the reviews for the newly-designed Ariels all suggest that they are too narrow. I have always ordered an 8WW. So if the WW is too narrow, I have no other option. So I looked at this shoe and decided, based on the reviews, to order them. They are great, and actually wider than last year's Ariels. If you are on the border between W and WW, then order the W. I have a very wide foot and I'm cinching the laces on the WW pretty snugly. I walked around with an old Ariel on one foot and this Nike on the other and I can't tell the difference (except that the Nike is just a smidge wider). This is my new favorite shoe!
