The shoes came earlier than promised. Thank you Zappos. Once again, they looked nice, fit well, and were a very decent price.

Just bought mine tonight. I can't wait to wear them. They don't look like they will be super comfortable, but they are the most handsome/masculine/sexy men's shoes I've ever seen! I bought black and had to go to five stores to find my size, but I was determined! I will wear them for dress clothes occasions (business), but I definitely will wear them with jeans! So cool looking! And I require a heavy shoe with a strong platform/base. Love them!

Of all the comfort brands out there, this one seems to be promising. As with other shoes that are relatively cheap, the leather feels a bit plastic-y, but certainly serviceable. I have very narrow feet, and have a lot of trouble with regular width shoes. These seem to fit pretty well, and, after just one day, they're pretty comfortable.

These were purchased for my husband. He has had a pair of this brand and exact style for many yrs. We went to a shoe store and they kept measuring size and came up with a different size every time. We ordered our size and they ran true to form. They are still perfect after so many years.

I have worn Bostonian shoes for years and have loved the classic styles that they offer. I found the Bostonian Lakewood penny loafers at Zappos, and was amazed at the low price. Ordered two pair, one in black and one in brown. I wear these as 'dressy' casual shoes, and can attest to their comfort. They fit 'true' to size, and never stretch out. I will re-order these if they ever wear out. My first pair of Bostonian's are still in my closet, and look and feel like new after at least a decade or two.

Not a low quality shoe, but not a high quality either. My foot is 10.75 inches long, 4 inches wide, and an 8.25 inch heel to ball (using the pencil trace method). I think I should wear a size 11 (because my foot is 10.75) and wide (not because my foot is 4 inches wide, but because my heel to ball is 8.25 inches). So I ordered an 11 Wide. Turn out it's about half a size too big (I have 1.5 thumb widths between the top of my toe and the top of the shoe) and 1 centimeter too narrow (my small toe is slightly pushing against the side of the shoe). I had the same problem with the Rockport Bvallee and Bostonian Riverdale so I m beginning to think the shoe is the right size, but I ordered the wrong size. Until Zappos came around I never had the ability to find the right size shoe and had to buy wide shoe styles and bigger sizes to accommodate the shape of my foot. The leather is decent, but nothing like the leather on a $150 pair of Johnston and Murphy's. The padding around the collar is so pronounced that it's uncomfortable. That might break in so it's not a deal breaker. It has more arch support than the Bvallee and Riverdale, but not much. I'll order 10.5 Wide (maybe even 3E if they have it) and see how those fit.

Cheap Materials but Decent Fit - I wear 11 Wide (at least I thought I did, maybe I’m only 10.5) and ordered 11 Wide. These shoes feel about 1 half size too long (I can fit 1.5 thumb widths between the top of my toe and the top of the shoe leather) and maybe 1 centimeter too narrow (my small toe is pushing the side wall of the shoe out about 1 centimeter), but they still fit the best out of the other 5 pairs I ordered: Bostonian Centaur, Cole Haan Air Jarvis Plain Oxford, Johnston & Murphy Harding Panel Lace, Rockport Bvallee, and Rockport Ellingwood. It's a shame the materials are medium quality (at best). The leather is grainy looking. The insole is cheap looking and there isn’t much cushioning or arch support. One bright spot is the outsole looks very nice and is ideal for winter weather, which I why I bought them. The padded collar is comfortable too. I will order 10.5 Wide (maybe 3E even) in brown (although another review said the materials on the brown ones look really poor) and see how those fit.

I have 'shopped' at Zappos several times and found the order process to be extremely friendly and trouble free. The response time for the order and shipping confirmation is lightning fast and you will be shocked at how quickly the item you ordered is delivered. In addition, the variety of items and the brand name merchandise that Zappos has available is second to none. I would give Zappos an "A+" based upon my experiences.

Very good shoe! I bought it for a very picky actor that needed a shoe that could be both a period day wear shoe and a formal shoe. This was shiny yet casual with the cap toe detailing. I will be purchasing these again in the future!

Shoe's surface scuffs and marks easily. And the original laces are very stiff and rigid; they keep sticking up in the air when they are tied. The price of the shoe seems too high, but other than that, it is an okay pair of shoes.

Excellent pair of shoes, the front is way too narrow to be in fashion but the comfort level is a solid 5 stars which is why I wear them everyday now! Comfort with these shoes is top notch, very lightweight and very soft on your feet and back.

Looks good in the ad, but disappointing. The leather is very stiff, and the crease around the toe area when I stepped dug into the top of my foot.

This is a very comfortable, versatile dress shoe. I've always had good luck with Bostonians, and this pair is certainly no exception. Leather is very soft inside and out, fits true, and stands up to wear well with a thickish sole and an exterior that's not as prone to scuffs as other shoes I've worn. Good value as well; I've worn shoes 2-3 times more expensive with similar build quality that I don't like as well. Highly recommended.

The shoes are comfortable, but the leather fades quickly. I have had these shoes two months, and they already look very old.

I bought these shoes for my husband; he has the same pair in brown. The brown are perfect; the black hurt his feet like you wouldn't believe! They rub by the toe, apparently. It's a shame because it's a good name in men's shoes.

I ride public transit most days and my shoes get dirty and scuffed up fairly quick. I also have wide feet so low priced shoes can be difficult to find. I decided to try these shoes because they were cheaper than similar style Rockport. They also look cheaper and feel cheaper. The insoles aren\'t vented so the air doesn\'t circulate well and tend to make my feet feel warmer and sweatier. Otherwise, they are comfortable for walking. I bought both a black and brown pair. The finish on the brown look decidedly cheaper than the black. I wouldn\'t buy these again, I\'d rather pay a little more for a little better shoe.

These shoes are the epitome of class. They are simple and tasteful yet as stylish as anything available. I was skeptical of ordering shoes online, but the pictures looked good. I was so excited when I pulled them out of the box to see that they were even better than I had hoped. You can't go wrong with these.

I bought this Bostonian in the two-tone brown color. The pros include that the shoe looks great, but only certain people can pull it off. The cons include the material being pretty thin feeling almost shoddy. Overall this is a very attractive shoe, looks great, feel great if you have thicker socks. It's great going for the "unconventional but sophisticated" look.

I require a wide size shoe, Zappos provides name brands and categorizes by style and size. I have owned Bostonian shoes before and am familiar with their fit. I ordered the size I needed and they fit perfectly. The comfort of a slipper and the look of executive is a great match. This is an excellent shoe for dress and business casual!
