This shoe seems consistent in quality and workmanship to other leather-soled Bostonian shoes in this price range. The leather is soft and has a soft luster (not highly polished). The size 7 did seem a tiny bit larger than what I usually get from Bostonian, not quite a half-size. This leads to a somewhat looser, but reasonable fit, but it also means that the edge of the shoe rubs a little where it meets the fibula.
I'd also recommend: Florsheim, Johnston & Murphy

Great shoes..very comfortable...you won't believe this. Bostonian Ricardo are cost more on Bostonian.com so I purchased the on Zappos.

Comfortable right out of the box. I am a fan of both Florsheim and Bostonian dress shoes, but Bostonian shoes have no break in period; they feel great the moment you put them on.
I'd also recommend: Florsheim

Nice shoe, but the sole has slices in the leather possibly for traction. Unfortunately the sole has seperated at these slices on the first wearing.

Very nice looking shoe that is very well made. These have been my daily shoe for around three months. For normal around the office use, they are fine. However, I live in a large city and my commute involves a significant amount of walking. These shoes still haven't been completely broken in, which results in heel blisters. Hopefully this goes away eventually, because they are very nice shoes
