The heal fell off of these shoes in less than four months. I am very rough on shoes, however, I spend my days in a courtroom, not on a construction site. Zappos sent me a free return label and credited my account for the purchase price. I will definitely shop with Zappos again but I will not buy shoes from Bostonian again.

A Great Shoe -
This is a great-looking shoe that's comfortable right out of the box (though a couple of band-aids on the heels the first day is advised). My only criticism is small: the shoe felt a half-size larger than marked, so I had to exchange it. But Zappos, as always, made the exchange easy and had a smaller shoe to me in no time at all.

BEST SHOE EVER -
This is the best shoe I have ever bought, I wore them everyday to work for a year and a half, but I am really hard on shoes, even walked 2 miles to work in them for about 2 months. Just now looking for a new pair, I will recommend Bostonian any day of the week!!!!

Falling apart in less 1 year -
Had it for less than a year. Now the sole is coming off and I can't repair it because it wasn't stitched on (it was glued). The leather upper is terribly dis-colored and has many dark and light spots.

As expected -
I first ordered a pair of Allan Edmonds which looked similar. They were too big. The Bostonians fit right out of the box and were very comfortable, not to mention much less. I would not hesitate to buy another pair from Zappos. The service was great.

Comfortable shoe except the sizing is definitely a little off compared to other Bostonians I have purchased. First time Zappos customer and very impressed. Ordered the shoes on Friday at 1:30pm and received the shoes Monday via UPS.

I have found Bostonians to be a great, economic shoe. I haven't bought the $200-$300 dress shoes, but I have been impressed with the look and quality of Bostonian shoes. I got this Fremont for a church shoe and it looks dressy and is fairly comfortable. Leather bottom shoes are not as comfortable as a rubber bottom shoe and the leather uppers with a "padding" inside are more comfortable, but don't get me wrong these shoes are still fairly comfortable to wear.

I can tell that this is the kind of shoe that I will have for a very long time. This is not a trendy look but that makes it more functional to a variety of situations. It’s well made but a little stiff. It’s going to take some breaking in but should wear well.

Size Issue -
Great looking shoe, but it definitely runs at least a half size bigger than normal. I wear a 9 ½ and had to go with a 9, and even those are on the edge of being too big. If you have really wide feet, as I do, the "Wide" in this shoe is still a little snug. I have a pair of "Double Wide" Bostonians and they fit better across the widest part of my foot.

I love the shoes, but my wife is a bit upset -
I wish there was some way to determine before I order what soles are going to leave their mark on a ceramic/tile floor. Like I said, I love the shoes, but they did mark up the floor when I first received them.

An outstanding shoe that looks great!
Burdened with a large foot (13 wide), I find it extremely difficult purchasing shoes that both look good and feel good. When it comes to shoes, I insist that the fit is correct and comfortable immediately right out of the box. I refuse and don’t believe in “breaking-in” shoes and these shoes fit the bill perfectly. I couldn’t be more pleased. In addition to the excellent fit and finish, they look fantastic and have a British flavor of understated elegance. I have enjoyed this pair of shoes so much that I soon purchased a second pair in a different color.
