These are out of the box comfortable. I wear a size 8.5 and they are perfect. Nice footbed. Bringing on a two week trip to France next month. Will report back if any issues.

Love Borns, they are so nice to the feet. However, this pair was weird. L foot wider than the R...noticeably so, as if stretched. Returned. I hate it when the shoes have defects like that!

Could it be that I've finally found a flat that I can wear?? Looks like it! Most flats are too narrow in the toe, and if I go to a larger size they flip right off my feet. These are true to size. The Stowaway II is an improvement over the original, or maybe it's just that the color I chose has particularly soft leather (I have black/pewter). A bit of arch support, which I cannot live without, does the job. It could be a bit more supportive but it's outstanding compared to flats in general. I know that with the multi-textured leather each pair will be unique, but the one problem I really had was that in my pair each shoe was quite different. I was going to send them back to see if another pair might be more symmetrical, but I liked them so much I didn't want to give them up. So I took the rougher side of a nail buffer and used it lightly on one shoe. Now they are not exactly alike, but close enough to go together as a pair. There will be a short break-in period, I can tell, but the leather is soft and will quickly conform to the foot.

Ordered these in the black/pewter in a 6.5 and they fit true to size. I have a slightly wide toebox but narrow heels, so I was worried, but the fit is perfect. And they are so comfortable. However, maybe I just didn't notice it in the pictures, but the toe is very round, which is a deal-breaker for me (makes my feet look stubby). I also think the color appears darker than the picture (maybe because you don't notice the pewter details unless there's a direct light shining on them). These unfortunately will be going back.

I agree with many other reviewers that this is the perfect flat! These shoes do not force the wearer to sacrifice comfort for fashion. The Stowaway II are both cute and practical! They've got padded footbed and arch support, and even some toe wiggle room. Looking forward to lots of "happy feet" days ahead.

Yuck, toe cleavage. These shoes barely cover your toes even though they look like a classic flat.
