I became a "Born" shoe fan last year when I needed really good arch support and soft comfortable shoes. I bought these along with another pair and when I put them on I can't help sighing when I take my first steps.

These are among the most comfortable shoes I have owned. They ran a bit big - but when I found my size they fit like a glove.

Ah, The Nathaniel, from the Born Taliored collection. It's as if I opened a time capsule and pulled out my first pair of Born shoes I was fond of all over again. In brown the look as if an artisan made them. They are constructed very well. They are all leather lined, as any real shoe should be, and the heel is bit taller which shifts some of the weight off of your heel spur when your standing. As with any Born I have owned, they start of snug in the sides in the front but break in quickly with just a couple of wearings. The leather is soft and will give. I had a pair much just like this several years ago that had a bit of a different design in the toe. I wore them until the sole finally got thin enough to split. Then I wore them for another year to mow my lawn until the lining inside finally gave out. Born's sizing is a bit off on the American side; I wear a U.S. 10.5 , or a 44 in UK size. The born 44 actually shows it is a U.S. size 10 on the box. I have owned five different pairs and their sizing is consistent. In Born I wear a size U.S. 10 no matter what it looks like.

Worn twice so far and very happy with them. A bit snug across the forefoot the first time I put them on, but the leather has adjusted to my foot very quickly. Sole looks leather, but is actually synthetic, offering nice flex and cushion for comfy walking right away. Style is a nice compromise between "business casual" and "weekend" casual; can wear with jeans, khakis, chinos or trousers.

My first purchase with Zappos was great. The customer service representative was extemely friendly and helpful. The shoes came on the promised day and were the exact size and style I ordered. I will buy from Zappos again.
