These are probably the most beautiful in my search for dressy black boots. I love the yoke-style on the foot and the pointier toe, the quality of leather, and the heel height. Also the length of shaft, though circumference was wider than I would have liked. But I felt more stable in the Clarks Cardy, which also has a glossier leather that I think will hide or withstand scuffs more (I may be wrong). Mallory is dressier and less utilitarian, but for my needs and uses, I am going to stick with the Cardy.

I just received the Born Mallory boots. I love them! I have difficult feet to fit (they are wide at the front and narrow at the heel) and wore these easily and comfortably the entire first evening! The heel is dressy enough for skirts, but not so thin and wobbly that I cannot negotiate the ice/snow of our area. These are great boots!

These are comfortable, have a great heel height for someone who does not like extra high heals. They seem extra roomy in the calf area. Maybe it is just the new style or maybe since I am petite and thin it seems larger than other boots I have.

Very comfortabl and stylish. The calf widens somewhat at the top, but it's workable. I have narrow calves so it was fine at the bottom. When I have jeans on, it's not that noticeable a gap.

I can't say enough good things about this boot...comfortable, stylish, and kinda sexy! I have high arches and have to walk a couple miles for my commute...these boots are extremely comfortable and seem to be holding up well. I don't even need to put insoles in which is almost unheard of for me. Highly recommend!

Great boots. Practically no break-in time. Great for muscular calves (but won't accommodate truly wide calves). Love the moderate heel height. Also love the grayish quality due to the burnished leather -- still clearly a black boot, though.

Very comfy boot! Simple, classy style. Looks good with pants or with a skirt. A little big for me in the calf, but I knew that before buying based on the circumference given.

I love these boots! They are exactly what I was looking for, the calves are a little wide and have some stretch which is good if like me you have muscular calves but skinny ankles. The soles are really supportive and comfortable and they have good traction for those slippery winter mornings. The leather is good quality and has a finish that will age well. These are a bargain for the price.

Yes, excellent boot all around. I got these in all 3 colors. The two browns, I have to say, though, were not as expected, and took a few minutes to get used to - both are darker than in the pictures. The brown is, well, more 'burnished', worn looking, less golden tan, more brownish. Both are darker than in the pictures. Surprisingly, contrary to what I expected, I like the lighter one more, and it's more of a medium taupe than bone colored as it appears in the photos. An extremely versatile color. I didn't think it would work in the winter, but it does! This style is casual but dressy, very versatile, and of course inside is the awesome padded Born leather foot lining that is heavenly comfortable to stand on for hours with no problem and make you forget you're wearing boots. I already wore them barefoot once during the warmer fall weather. Easily can be worn with a semi-dressy dress.

I actually tried these boots on in a store and loved them, but they did not have the color I wanted. Zappos had them! Born boots are more comfy than most... a little more room in the foot and leg.

These are great boots! They fit perfectly and are comfortable enough to stand on concrete for hours (I know this for a fact, as I did it last night in these boots). The leather is beautiful, and the heel is high enough to be stylish but not so high as to be uncomfortable. Love these boots!
