Bought this shoe for my then 8 yr old daughter in the spring. She loved this shoe. It was an incredibly comfortable shoe she wore them for an entire year before she grew out of them. It was a perfect shoe for her being that her feet were narrow and one foot was a 1/2 size larger than the other. The strap held her foot in and a liner in one shoe took care of the problem. Very cute. The only problem we had with it was after 6mo. of continuous wear the sole came away from the shoe in the front. Took it to the shoe maker and it was as good as new. We are purchasing another pair.

I searched all shoes stores in my area for the perfect fit for my daughters\' very narrow feet. These were were it and still are!! I bought black and brown last year at the local store and two more pairs from Zappos. My daughter wore them almost every day to school. They did not wear out until she wore them out. I am ordering again for this school year!

Loved these at first. They are really cute and stylish on my first-grade daughter. But within the first three weeks of wearing them, they simply fell apart. Both shoes. The toe area split and the leather peeled back. Zappos was so helpful and agreed to exchange them. So when the second pair arrived, I had high hopes that it wouldn't happen again. But within two weeks, both toes split again! Born is a good brand, so I was very surprised. My daughter has normal feet and doesn't play very aggressively. I'm in the process of sending them back. This time we're going to try an entirely different shoe.

Beautiful & Comfortable - My 4 year old daughter and I both love it. Good quality, comfortable, and stylish. Each time she wears it, she gets compliments. Love all Born shoes.

Perfect - My daughter needed a comfy patent leather shoe that didn't look like a baby/toddler shoe. Looking good with both dresses and jeans was a must. This shoe fits the bill perfectly.

So stylish, comfortable - My 4 year old daughter loves these boots. I wish they made it in adult size! Very unique and stylish. Turns heads and draws lots of compliments. My daughter says they are very comfortable. Probably is slightly narrower than marked and half size smaller too.

Really cute shoe - My daughter loves this shoe. It is well made and comfortable for her to wear. I think the bottom of the shoe is much better made than most ballet flats.

Excellent quality shoe for wider feet - This shoe was originally purchased for my daughter who has a narrow foot. The picture and previous information seemed to fit my needs, but sadly the shoe was definitely wider than most average width shoes. However, the quality and workmanship of the shoe is excellent. They are beautiful patent (krinkle patent) leather shoes that are also lined in tan leather, for excellent breathability. So guess what, I am giving them to a friend, who has a child with wider feet, who can fully appreciate this wonderful shoe. I'm sure the Mary Jane charm in this shoe will fit with everything, from holidays to schoolwear.

Fantastic boots for kids - I bought these for my 2 year old last fall and just bought them again, as she's outgrown the original pair. People have honestly stopped us to ask where we got them (happy to steer them to Zappos) they are just so cute. Great western flair and not too high so they look great with tights. Very well constructed and super comfortable with the flexible rubber sole and soft leather.

Amazing boots!!! My daughter won't take these boots off of her feet - she just loves them! The great quality is typical of Born. The beautiful stitching on the outer leg is subtle and so pretty. The zippers go up and down with ease. If they still make them next boot season, I will order them again! Another good thing was they arrived less than 48 hours after I ordered them. Thanks.

Greatest little boots!My daughter is the hardest kid to fit with shoes and she loves these boots! She gets blisters by looking at some shoes, but these shoes she will wear with shorts because they are so comfortable. We are getting ready to order another pair for this year, she has worn the last pair for more than a year and they still look great...the quality is wonderful. Her foot is really narrow and these boots didn't swallow her foot, but I would think average feet could also wear them. They are worth every penny!!

2nd pair - My daughter got a pair of these Nov 2006 and loved them, wore them at least 3 schooldays a week. She just outgrew them in Dec 2007 and after trying on lots of other boots she asked if she could just replace hers with another of the same. The first pair looks good enough to still wear if only she hadn't outgrown them. The toes are scuffed but that is to be expected. I would buy them a 3rd time if she needed. Well made comfy boot.

Bought them twice - My 6 year old daughter loves these boots! We misplaced them when we moved, and we loved them so much we bought them again. They are super comfy and she loves that she can "run fast" in them. I love them because they are cute. Smart design has leather (instead of the suede) covering the toe and heel. We purchased the brown ones.

Fabulous boots!My daughter loves these boots! She likes to wear with them skirts, and with her jeans; she rolls the bottoms up so the design is visible. She is able to play in them, run and jump and says they are VERY comfortable. Good buy!!

Excellent Boot for every day - My 7 year old daughter wore them throughout last season - the sole finally broke in half on both boots (I was quite surprised) but they had held up well. Purchasing a new pair for this winter - they are the best! Extremely comfy and very rugged, considering this 7-year-old’s activities.

Great shoe for skinny feet - My child has thin, long feet and she basically hates to wear shoes, but these are perfect for her and she happily wears them everyday to school!

Back to school - Hard to find comfy shoes for catholic school...Born always comes through. The rubber bottoms help out when they are worn on a daily basis...the leather holds up well to daily abuse...Zappos will replace if there is a manufacturer's defect...love Zappos!

Awesome boots - I am an admirer of Born adult shoes. They provide great comfort everytime I wear them. My daughters say that they feel wonderful all day long. The thick lug sole is great because it keeps kids from slipping. I would recommend them to anyone who has kids and wants a well-made shoe.
