I usually wear a size 8.5, but based on other reviews I ordered a 9. It fit fine, was comfortable, but the color was off. Not a dark brown at all but more of a brownish taupe. It's not a bad color, but I really was looking for a dark brown. Also, I thought the platform looked cheap. Didn't like the plastic look of it. Zappos, as always, was great to deal with!

I have these shoes in black and I love them! I wanted the brown ones so I just ordered them without reading the reviews. Imagine my surprise when I took the not brown shoes out of my Zappos box. They are not even close to being brown. A huge disappointment. I also couldn't even get the shoes on, they run much smaller than the black ones.

These are narrow and impossible to get my foot in. I will wait for Born's Famke model to come out in black. They are easier to get into with the zippers.

I love these shoes! You need a shoe horn to get them on, true, but once on they are very comfortable, even for someone with a high instep like me. They add great height without the usual discomfort of heels. Sizing was perfect for me.

I absolutely love this shoe! Very comfortable the first day I wore them and even went shopping. I comfortable shoe is the most important in my book and these are that plus super stylish.

If you buy the dark brown, be warned that the brown is actually grey--unless they accidentally shipped the wrong color. Also, the shoe does not fit correctly. It is extremely hard to get on, as mentioned by the other reviewer, and the shoe is very tight in the toe area, but somewhat loose in the heel area. I'm afraid that the shoes will stretch out too much, as other Born products do, so I'm going to return these.
I'd also recommend: Dansko
