I waited a long time before reviewing these shoes because as most of you know shoes can be comfortable at first, then......ouch! I have very troublesome feet. I had plantar faciitis due to very high arches and my feet also turn in a bit. It\'s very hard to find shoes that don\'t make my feet hurt after a full day. I\'ve been wearing born griers for 10 months now and I can\'t wear anything else. My feet never hurt anymore. I love these shoes!!!! They give just the right amount of support and cushioning in the soles and I get compliments on them all the time. They are so darn cute.\r\ni have them in black and I will be buying another pair in brown.

I am surprised no one has made a negative comment on comfort on these, so I'm writing this to balance the picture a bit! I love the look, and was looking for something to replace a pair of Born shoes that I've nearly worn to death (still wearing them after probably 6 years), but these I couldn't imagine even trying to break in; they just felt strange and clunky and hard in all the wrong places. Weird that my experience is so different! (FYI, my feet are somewhat wide, with high arches.)

I've been wearing these shoes for 9 months now and I'm incredibly happy with them. I've suffered with plantar fasciitis and could never find a shoe that was comfortable and cute. I can walk and walk and no pain! I will be buying another pair when these wear out.

A perfect blend of cute and comfortable, right out of the box. I have owned other shoes with low backs, and they never stayed on -- most memorably on my first day at a new job when an old, low-backed shoe went flying off my foot as I climbed a staircase with my new boss. Suave. The Born Griers, however, stay on like a dream, and they are soft as walking on pillows (but with arch support). Five stars.
I am a 9.5 in most shoes, but I ordered a 9 and it fits perfectly.

After reading the reviews, I purchased a half size smaller than I normally wear and these shoes have turned out to be the most comfortable of the Born shoes I’ve ever owned. And I own sandals, boots, shoes; love ‘em! I definitely recommend these shoes to anyone wanting comfort and style. VERY cute on! Zappos is awesome, too! Very fast shipping and the best exchange/return policy I’ve ever dealt with.

Almost perfect!
Overall this is a great shoe. 4 stars for comfort as I'd like a little more arch support; 4 stars for look as the toes curl up just enough to look slightly odd, though this may settle down in time. As others have said, it runs 1/2 size large; I usually wear an 8.5 in Born and the 8 fits me well. Also a good fit for my wide feet (M/W width). As I have another Born shoe with comparable construction, I anticipate these will be comfortable throughout the day; I'm on my feet a lot at work. Also I'm glad to have a shoe (actually, 2 pairs -- 1 black and 1 brown) I can wear to work with no socks for warmer weather. And shockingly fast shipping!

Great shoes, but too large -
I normally wear size 6 and these felt a lot large, which is why I have to return them. Otherwise, they look great and seemed super-comfortable.

Too big!
I think these shoes would be very comfortable, but they are way too big. Also, the heel bed is not deep and I wonder if they would slip, even if I ordered a whole size smaller. I'm going to try a different shoe instead. They are cute though!

The shoe seems like it would be comfy. However, I have to return it b/c it is a half size too big. I wear a 9 in every shoe I own and need an 8.5 possibly an 8 in these. I hope the new pair fit b/c these shoes are really cute!

Had to return the first pair - ran big - a little discomfort on either side of each foot where the strap crosses over but other than that I love this shoe. Lots of comments about how cute they are - thanks Zappos for such great service in processing the return.
