This shoe has such great potential but it did not work for my foot. I am an easy 6M and Born shoes are always a perfect fit. The Ermine is attractive, nice quality leather and true to color. However, if you have slim/average ankles you will not find this style workable. If you need to use the last hole the excess strap looks too long and hangs in an unattractive manner. The slim loop which the ankle straps slides through is very delicate. I would be concerned about its longevity. The heel is sturdy. I found the upper strap( horizontal and vertical one) to be very generous as well, not giving me sufficient support. Quite a shame as this is great looking shoe in its simplicity. Back it goes and the hunt continues.
