Comfortable right out of the box! Sole is well-padded and flexible, leather straps are glove soft, heel very solid and well balanced for walking. In absence of half sizes (what is that about, Born?) advise ordering down if you are on the fence. I am a solid 7 1/2 with a wide instep and the 7 fits fine. And Zappos delivered in less than 24 hours!

The front of the sandal has too much room (bottom to top) from the sole to the cross straps. Your foot is all floppy so you have no control of your steps. You sound like a dinosaur plunking along with every step. It's like wearing clogs. If it weren't for the ankle straps, these would fly off your foot.

These may be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, and they are even cuter in person. The sole is very padded - I have arthritis in my feet and it feels like walking on pillows. Well-made, too.

I have found my new favorite brand! These shoes are incredibly comfortable, and required no breaking in whatsoever. I wore them for 14 hours straight, right out of the box, with no problems. I normally wear an 8.5 wide or 9 regular. Based on previous reviews I ordered an 8 regular and it fits me like it was custom made for my feet. My only concern is the little leather strap that holds the buckled-in part down seems a bit thin and I'm afraid it will break someday. But the buckle is attached with a bit of elastic so I may not need to undo/redo the buckle very often (instead slipping the back strap over my heel to take the shoes off).

I wish this super-cute shoe came in a US 10.5. And with snugger straps! I bought it in both 10 and 11. The 11 footbed is great, but the straps much too loose. While the 10 footbed is a bit too short (in length) and the straps are still a bit loose. But it's doable (if the straps don't stretch out). I'm sending the 11 back and pondering the 10. I wish Born would consider half sizing (10.5) and tighter (and/or adjustable) front straps. My feet are actually a bit on the wide side, but they're not chunky. For some reason, I'm often left swimming in "regular" shoes. I guess shoe companies would rather err on the side of "baggy" straps than "tight," which seems backwards to me since leather will, in fact, stretch. Anyway, if you have wide and/or thick feet, the "regular" may be okay. And if you're a half size, you may want to size up or down based on your width rather than your length.

This is, hands down, the most comfortable heeled sandal I have ever owned in my life. It sounds like hyperbole, but it is absolutely true. I wear an 8.5-9.0, depending on the brand, but these did not come in half sizes, so I bought the 8's (I took another reviewer's advice). Right out of the box, the Born Belinda's fit perfectly. No torturous breaking in period. The footbed is so soft! I never thought I would wear a pair of heels every day, but I find these are now my daily shoe. I should add that I have a very high instep and a very high arch and this shoe fits both issues without a problem with incredible comfort. Here's the odd thing, however. I bought my first pair, in bag pipe brown, in a size 8. Perfect! I bought another pair in black, also in a size 8, and they were noticeably too small (a hair too short, my heel was just hitting the back end of the shoe, and a hair too narrow). Perhaps they are made in a different factory or Born's quality control isn't what it used to be, but there was simply no way both colors were the same size. I also noticed that the inside description (you know, where the size, item number, material type, and manufacturing ID) were written differently. So back the black pair went, but now I will order a green pair and hope for the best!
