Awesome sandal - Wow. This is one beautiful shoe. Fits pretty much true to size. Don't size down at all though. I sometimes take a half size smaller in a sandal but I didn't size down for this & glad I didn't. This is a perfectly designed shoe. The shape is very complimentary to the foot. Feminine. Perfect heel height for walking without having to think about walking. Very comfortable right out of the box. Bonus: comes with two very cool drawstring shoe bags.

Best shoe for spring/summer 09!! A neutral platform sandal is the shoe for all the spring colors and looks!! I can wear this shoe ALL day because comfort level is great. I will probably wish I had purchased 2!!

Great great! I bought these for my wedding in the spring. Although I have only been walking around the house in them and they are super comfy, and the bottom is very supportive. The leather straps and bottom are a nice feature as well. I am a 7.5 and ordered a 7.

Love these sandals! I purchased the same style when they were made under the Bolo brand. The ones made by Born are just as comfortable, fit perfectly, and are actually less expensive! These durable sandals are so comfortable I even wore them during a day at a theme park.

Dress and Comfort in One Package - Two years ago, I bought a pair of black leather Naturalizers with the platform and wedge heel that I absolutely love. Unfortunately, they now squeak when I walk, so I don't like to wear them often. Enter the Alcala II as a replacement. Just received these this afternoon, and I'm already in love. Nice and stable, with good cushioning and straps that don't rub. And, while I don't always like to spend this much on a pair of shoes, previous jobs have taught me the importance of good shoes. So, if you're looking for a good, comfortable work sandal with a heel, I'd say these are worth the investment! Note on fit: I normally wear a 7 1/2 narrow. Due to past Born purchases, I knew to buy a 7, rather than an 8. So, while I say that it runs true to size, the 7 may be a little narrower than expected for others.

Wow!!! These shoes looked beautiful online and although a bit expensive I ordered them knowing that Born shoes serve me well. They were just as beautiful in person and I wore them to work the next day (I teach kindergarten) and they were great!! No rubbing, blisters, good arch support and my feet weren't at all sore at the end of a long day.

Great Shoe! I highly recommend these shoes. I wore them to a party...which I was on my feet all night and they were sooo comfortable. I got several compliments on how good they looked. 5 stars all the way!!

Shoes are more comfortable than they seem. As a teacher, I am able to wear these during the day without discomfort. They look great with jeans and dresses. I ordered the black and like them enough to order another color in the future. This new Born brand has impressed me so far.

Ok, these rock. Arch support is good, not too tight for my slightly wider than M foot, heel not too high, stable with the style, strappy, dressy enough, but ok with jeans. Darn near perfect. Got the silver and shows my pedi off beautifully.

Very cute and comfortable! A versatile and smart looking shoe! High enough to be cute with dresses and jeans, but with a padded sole to make it comfortable all day! I bought it in silver, gold and brown. So far, highly recommended.

This shoe is so pretty, but note on sizing - SIZE UP in this style. I have normal feet and usually wear a 6.5M, but found a size 6 was too narrow and even a bit on the short side for me. Definitely comfortable if you get the right size.

Great Shoe - I love this shoe! It looks great and is very comfortable. It even makes my feet look nice. My first wearing was only for a few hours mostly sitting down, but then I wore them to work all day and found them to be just perfect. I bought the tan and am thinking I will buy the black next. There really is no break in necessary with these - the leather is soft with nice cushioning underneath. If you like these go for them, you won't be sorry.

Cute, sexy, versatile sandal - I wear a size 9 but sometimes need a 9 1/2. The saleswoman talked me into a 10 as these don't come in 1/2 sizes. I think the 10 is a little too big but it is comfortable though I had to have extra holes put in the strap.

Best Summer Shoe - I love these shoes. I have been looking for a gold sandal and this was perfect. I walked 3.5 miles in them one night, brand new, and I got no blisters and my feet did not hurt at all. I have narrow feet so the top strap is a little loose but does not cause any problems when walking.

Gorgeous sandal - I ordered these in brown & gold -- gold is usually not a color I'd chose (can't remember ever wearing gold shoes, to be honest) but when I saw them side by side, the choice was obvious. For a gold sandal, these are low-key as there's not a whole lot of surface area to attract attention. However, the gold sets off tanned legs wonderfully, what a fantastic summer shoe! Very comfortable, too -- the heel isn't too high nor too narrow, just a perfect, sexy style that works with jeans or skirts. Padded sole is very nice. A truly beautiful, well-made shoe, no matter what color you choose. In brown, I thought they kind of looked rustic with the wrapped leather T-strap, but in gold they're way more elegant. Try them both & see which you like... you might be surprised...

This shoe is fantastic. I have very particular feet - these days not wearing many heels, but these are truly comfortable. I think they look better on than in the photos, too – they’re slightly more delicate, not as clunky as they appear online. I got them in platino and they look great with a long white linen skirt. I’ll be wearing them to a wedding.
