While very expensive, it is lovely. The insulated layers keep tea hot for quite a while. The plunger works well but if the tea is left too long it does make the brew stronger but I did not find this a problem as I drink the pot before this happens. In sum, I am pleased with my purchase.

I was really reluctant to spend this much money on a glass teapot. I don't mind spending money for quality, I've got some pricey coffee brewing equipment, but the thought of shelling out this much for something that could easily break was rough. However, all the reviews were positive, and it looked really beautiful and functional, so I went for it. Now that I've used it, I can say it's definitely worth the price. It's super easy to use and is really so nice looking. Works exactly as described. I got the 34oz version, because to me, the whole point of having a teapot that keeps tea warm for a long time is to brew a big batch and let it hang out. I'm not sure if the 17oz version is a good investment, in that regard. Maybe if money was not a problem for you, because I would definitely have both if I could afford it. Now I just have to treat it like a baby. Hopefully it's durable, but I'd rather not test that.
