Even cuter in person and not that I buy my kitchen appliances according to how cute they are. I bought it to grind beans for my french press and it does the job admirably. I have been buying things from Bodum for a long time and their quality is great!

I bought this grinder because of the color. I used it for less than a month before it burned up. I plugged it in, and although I was not pressing on the grind button it started all by itself and then lots of smoke started coming out of it and the motor burned up. It was dangerous. I would not recommend buying this product.

My daily routine for years was to place 2 large spoons of whole beans into a Krups grinder, whirl, and transfer to a Bodum single French press. My Krups died after over 20 years and I bought a Bodum instead (having other Bodum products that I use and like). I loved its design and color until I started using it. It's impossible to grind less than 6 spoons without getting uneven results. The top is round and makes it difficult to transfer to a small press. (The Krups was elliptical = much easier.) I had to grind 3 days of coffee, then put in a container large enough to avoid a mess. I gave up, ordered a Krups and will use the Bodum for spices. The bottom line is: this grinder will be fine if you make a large pot of coffee but for single press users, it'll be a challenge.

    Brands I'd also recommend: Krups

Bodum®, a family owned company, was founded in 1944 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The founder, Peter Bodum, succeeded in positioning Bodum internationally in the 1960's due to his unique concept of development which consistently pays tribute to functionality, quality, and affordability. Early on in the company, Peter Bodum recognized the importance of industrial design. This visionary approach laid the ground work for which the company stands for today.

Bodum is best known for the French Coffee Press, which was selected as the most environmentally friendly coffee maker by the international media and has been highly awarded for its design. Without the use of electricity and messy filters, the French Coffee Press creates a stronger cup of coffee that delivers robust flavor.

Since the beginning of Bodum, this visionary company has branched out into much more than just the coffee presses. Tea presses, iced tea jugs, coffee makers, and portable grills are just a few of the additions to the Bodum line of products. "If you are looking for high quality and affordable kitchen appliances and items, then look no further than Bodum. Good design doesn't have to be expensive"-Peter Bodum.
