This shoe runs very large. I wear and ordered a size 8.5 - this shoe fit like a size 10. If I ordered again I\'d order a size 6.5

Really love these shoes. As most dance shoes, they are sized differently then street shoes. Mine are 5 1/2 but my street shoes are 7 1/2. They feel great.

"Other shoes do not compare to the quality of Bloch." A saleswoman at the dance store thirty years ago told me this when I purchased my first pair of ballet shoes, and it remains true to this day. I recently ordered both this Bloch Profex Canvas and the Capezio Canvas Juliet. Immediately out of the box the quality of materials and construction of the Bloch shoe was evident. Capezio canvas material and the construction of the shoe was sub-standard in comparison. Even the suede on the soles were pathetic and cheap looking/feeling. I have ordered other Capezio's in leather with the same results, and they were also returned. Please note that Bloch shoes do, indeed, run large. I wear 1 1/2 size smaller than my street shoe. I know others who order 2 sizes smaller. This review page only offers the option of marking "a full size larger" ... Zappos, please add more options. This shoe is 1 1/2 - 2 x's larger. They are meant to fit snugly, like a sock hugging your foot. Bloch lives up to its reputation and I would highly recommend Bloch over any other dance shoes on the market today.

Love it! But the sizing is just so wrong. So I according to the reviews and descriptions, I ordered 2 size down but it's too small. Any now they don’t carry half a size bigger anymore. I am really sad! Also, in the picture, the bend of the shoe is actually natural due to the material they use and it def. shows off your arch. Hope other sizes get restocked!

I am not sure how I am different, but I went with everyone's feedback and ordered two sizes smaller than my regular street shoes, and one size smaller than my usual ballet shoe size, but they were way too small. I had to go up 1½ sizes ultimately, to only ½ a size smaller than my regular street shoes. These shoes are soft and comfortable, and the way they hug your instep is great.

I was concerned about ordering ballet shoes online because of the difficulty in guessing a proper fit, but I took the plunge because of Zappos' excellent return policy and because of the feedback from other reviewers regarding fit. Ultimately, though, I took the plunge because of Zappos' wonderful return policy, and I am so glad that I did. I love these shoes! I ordered 1½ sizes smaller than my street shoes size (I am an 8½ in my street shoes, so I ordered a 7 in the Bloch Proflex). The shoes fit like a glove, and I need not have worried about needing to return the shoes. Additionally, the shoes are spectacularly well-made, have excellent support, and come with the elastic already attached on both ends (years of sewing my pointe shoe ribbons and elastic by hand make me very thankful for this). Lastly, I was in a hurry to get these shoes, but I did not want to pay more for shipping than I did for the shoes themselves, so I went with free shipping and hoped for the best. I received my shoes within 48 hours of placing my order, which was significantly faster than the 4-5 business days that I expected. Kudos, Zappos! All in all, I highly recommend these shoes, and I suggest that you order 1½ sizes smaller than your street shoe size. Dance on!
