Bloch's Mary Jane Tap - Although we found this shoe to run one and a half sizes small, it is a sturdy comfortable tap shoe. The interchangable taps are great for costume appeal.

Snug - Very cute but a whole size smaller than expected. I'm a 7 but the shoes felt like a 6. I thought they just needed breaking in so I wore them to class. They feel a little bit looser but not enough to tap comfortably. Even my instructor noticed how tight they are. I believe they would be very comfortable if I bought them in the right size.

Tap Shoes - These shoes are really cute and very comfortable except for around the outside ankle bone where the sides come up a bit high and rub the underpart of the bone. I bought some shoe inserts though that fixed this.

Shoes for my daughter - My daughters dance studio requires that she purchase the Bloch Tap-on since she is part of the competion team (and they need them to all have the same shoes). I was thrilled with the price of the shoes at Zappos with one small exception. I did not realize that these were man-made material. I have purchased the leather uppers before. They seem to be breaking in fine but the description should mention the difference more explicitly.

Exactly what I wanted - I ordered a full size larger than I usually do, as suggested by the oterh reviewers. They fit very well - no rubbing, no pinching. Flexible, lightweight. And, of course, Zappos shipped them quickly and without any problems.

Great dance shoe - I got this shoe for my daughter. They do run small, the first pair I had to send back. She usually wears a 1 1/2 and the 4 was just right. I wanted her to be able to wear them for more than a few classes so, I sent them back with Zappos great free return service and got her a 5. She loves them! She thinks that they sound much better than the cheaper dance shoes. Good Taps have to make good sound. They also look great. They are not the shiny patent leather, they look really nice. They are not real leather though, but for a 9 year old that is going to outgrow them, they are perfect.

It looks very cute, and pretty comfortable. The only thing that I am concerned with is just the sound it made wasn't loud enough. Other than that, everything is perfect.

Cute as can be! These shoes are so adorable! Bow is removable too. The sound of these taps are great--clear and sharp! You will need to order 1 1/2 sizes larger for some reason on these. Very durable--pure quality. Thanks ZAPPOS for bringing more quality products to our attention.

Tap shoes - Not bad looking, sounds nice and is somewhat comfortable. I would prefer more of a square toe to a round one, but it isn't bad at all.

Tap Dancing Shoe - The shoes arrived promptly, even for overseas!!! Mine had a slight scratch on the toe, but I decided to keep it anyway because the fit was good and the class was to start soon. The fit was a full size larger than I normally wear, and I had wanted to place my foot insert into the shoe as well, but it needed to be even larger than a full size. I loved the detail of the bow and along with some fancy lace anklets, I'm ready to learn TAP!!! Very pleased, Connie

Tap Shoe - I am so pleased with the Mary Jane Bloch Tap Shoe I purchased from you for My Granddaughters first Tap dancing class. A Shuffle ball-change for Zappos! I've heard about Zappos from friends and family who have difficult feet to fit. I wear an 11 1/2 (in most shoes) and was having a difficult time finding tap shoes. Because of Zappos, I am having a lot of fun in a Tap Dance Class through my local park district.

A good shoe to begin with - These are good for beginning dancers... taps could have more resonance... this style with the maryjane strap does not hold my foot tight enough. All in all, am glad I started with these. When I order my next pair, I now know what I am looking for... Unfortunately, one of my taps is loose. A bit of glue should fix this...

Tap shoes - After putting a cushion in the heel, and finding the right socks, they work well. Unfortunately, the heel tap comes loose.
