They say to order street shoe size but knowing better, I ordered a 1/2 size larger and they still feel one size too small but it was too late to return them by the time I found this out. I found out that the sole is not conducive to dancing as the rubber sticks to the dance floor.

Bloch split sole jazz shoe - Great dance shoe--very comfortable and danceable! Needs to fit like a glove, so order your real shoe size and expect it to be a little snug. It will stretch a little with time.

Dance Shoes - The shoes are light weight and are excellent for dance moves, however, as with most dance shoes, there is no arch support.

These shoes run very small. My daughter wears a 3.5 in youth size. I had to send back the 4s I had originally purchased and get the 6 in ladies size? She said they fit good now and they are comfortable.

I purchased these shoes and the similar Capezio ones, but returned the Capezios because they were more flimsy. I am used to the Bloch and Capezio dance sneakers, so in comparison, these shoes are very thin and do not have much support, but they are definitely better than dancing barefoot. They do run small. I ordered a full size larger than I usually wear. (I love ordering from Zappos because they make it so easy. I generally have trouble fitting shoes, so if not for their easy return policy, I would never consider ordering online.)

About Bloch
Bloch loved watching ballet and visited many dance studios. At one such studio, he noticed a young dancer who was having trouble staying on pointe. Bloch promised he would make her a better pair of shoes, and so he did. After that, Bloch’s reputation for making good dance shoes spread rapidly.
At Bloch, the respect the company has for its clients' art is infinite. Contributing to a dancer's artistry, in even the slightest way is the ultimate Bloch goal. Admittedly jealous of their clients' artistic ability, Bloch is proud to contribute confidence and beauty through the best dance footwear in the world.

These are wonderful jaz shoes, especially if you have wide feet. I first tried the Capezio unisex, but found them to be poorly made and also too pinchy on my wide feet. The Bloch jazzsoft is truly very soft leather that takes very little breaking in. The size nines felt slightly tighlyt on my true nine feet, but after just a few classes, they are perfect and I am glad I ordered my stree shoe size. I would recommend these to anyone who has average or wide feet, maybe not to those who have narrow feet; I think the Capezios are slightly narrower.

I'm always impressed with Bloch dance shoes. These are very light, and fit my feet perfectly. They have good grip but still spin really well. I've only worn them less than 10 times so far, so I can't comment on durability. One thing I'd say is that because they're closed toe, ventilation is not as easy as with their open toe models, but I haven't noticed my feet overheating either.

Great fit for my girl with a wide foot. The laces allow for adjustment to get a perfect fit, which we just couldn't find in other jazz shoes. Like most dance shoes they run small, I ordered a 10.5 for my girl who usually wears a 9-9.5 wide.

My daughter usually wears a size 4.5 or 5 but I had to buy her a size 7 in these shoes. Great shoe for the price.

Great inexpensive jazz shoe. I bought it to replace a more expensive style Capezio no longer makes, but I am glad they don't as this is cheaper and just as well made. I wear a size 7 street shoe but usually order a 7.5 in jazz shoes, and this was true for this shoe also. I use them for belly dancing as not all surfaces make sense to dance barefoot on, and these are soft and comfortable with just enough protection.

These shoes are great. I ordered them a half size larger than my street size so that they would fit comfortably, but I would still have room to grow. I love how inexpensive they are. At my local dance shop, they would be much more expensive, so all in all, a great find.

Zappos shipping dazzles. I placed an order on a Sunday evening at about 8 pm. Somehow they managed to ship it out Sunday night, and it actually arrived on Monday. Wow. The shoes were a different matter. Bloch's sizing is all over the place. My first sizing guess was slightly too small, so I ordered a half-size up. That shoe was 3/4 inches longer than the first, way too big. I ended up buying a different Bloch style at a regular store. Although tagged as the same size as my first try through Zappos, this shoe was 1/4 inch longer. My advice would be to order a couple pairs of whichever size/s you think right, in hopes that one of them fits, and return the rest.

Have been buying Bloch's for years and Zappos is the best! This shoe is extremely flexible and have the right size. Only problem is that it felt a little wider than last pair I have. Must wear thick socks, wish they made narrow widths.

These are great jazz shoes. They are soft where they need to be and harder where they need to be for my daughter during rehearsals and shows.

This is the best "practice" shoe I have ever owned! It runs a bit small (I ordered a half size bigger than my usual size). They are extremely soft and can fold in half (taking up little space in my dance bag), but heel is sturdy enough to provide some support.
Brands I'd also recommend: Capezio, Coast

These are excellent jazz shoes. The laces allow for a snug (or loose) fit and is a great lightweight shoe which allows for easier movement in jazz. I haven't had them for a long period of time, so I'm unsure of the durability, but they seem to be a high quality soft leather and sole. They're perfect for my class and even better is they're inexpensive, since I'm barely a part-time dancer. I may order a slip on with a thicker sole if I danced more. And yes, order at least a half size larger than street shoes because they are meant to fit snug and your toe will definitely poke at the tip of the shoe when pointing.
Brands I'd also recommend: Capezio
