Bloch Reviews
Tried with Tracy Anderson Method cardio which is even harder on the ball of your foot than Zumba, which I also do. Found that this shoe was a bit narrower at the widest point I was also disappointed in the lack of arch support, however as far as Bloch's shoes go I thought this shoe at least has the MOST padding in the ball of the foot than ALL their dance fitness shoes. The shoe was light and flexible too. I would say that if it had a tiny bit more width and arch support I would keep it, but because it is lacking I will have to send it back.
Way too small! I read the reviews so I ordered a half size up (I am normally a size 7, so I ordered a 7 1/2 ). They were still way too small - so I would order at least one size larger than you normally do.
LOVE these shoes. I was a dancer for many years and had old school Bloch dance sneakers w/ the split sole. I couldn't find mine (after 10 yrs! HA!) and wanted to get a pair that would serve me well for zumba. I went with these b/c they did NOT have the split sole (I wanted something more stable), they had the plastic portion at the ball of the foot that allows for easy turning and quick change, and heck, I LOVED the color. These are incredibly light weight. On a cold day I could feel the breeze straight through the mesh fabric. There isn't really much in the way of support between you and the floor, so I wouldn't plan on wearing these anywhere outside of class or the gym. I've used them for weight work and elliptical work and they're fine, but I'd honestly recommend sturdier shoes for that. For zumba, though, they're perfect. I typically wear 8.5 - 9 and tend to run a little wide. Zappos was out of stock of 9's so I chanced it and went w/ an 8.5 They run a little small and hug your feet pretty tight, so I kind of wished I would've been able to get a 9, but I still use them. The only reason I'd get a different pair is b/c I'd prefer a 1/2 size larger. Otherwise, ADORE this shoe. I get comments on them all the time.
When I first put these on I wasn't so sure...they weren't the most comfy and I honestly didn't think they would work for me, especially when compared to how the Reebok RealFlex Fusions felt...but I tried them in Zumba class...and loved them! They were way more comfortable than I had imagined. Love. Read the reviews and take the advice - order a full size up.

These shoes are fantastic. I wear them for Zumba and also whenever I feel like it. But keep in mind...these are dance shoes and the fit is a lot different than a normal walking shoe. I have a very high arch and my foot is wide across the ball of my foot. These shoes are definitely different than other shoes.

I ordered 4 different pair of dance sneakers and found these to be the best fit for me. I normally wear a size 7, but took Zappos' advice and ordered an 8, which fit great. They are lightweight, flexible and very comfortable. Just perfect for my Zumba classes.
I just started taking ballroom dance lessons. These were my first pair ever. I bought them a half size bigger as I noticed that many dancers' feet would hang over the edge of their shoe. I'm glad I did, as they run a half size small. The fit was comfortable. My lesson went well, no sore feet, no blisters, a good height, and they were comfortable.
This shoe is perfect for Zumba. I bought them so I didn't aggravate an old knee injury and because they are extremely cute! Other reviewers said the sole was a little too slippery but I don't find that to be true at all. It provides exactly what you need but you definitely need to buy a size larger than you normally wear as they run small. I ballroom dance too and know how important it is to wear the correct shoes. Everyody wants to know where they can buy a pair so I'm recommending Zappos because of the free shipping and returns. Will definitely be buying another pair. Great shoe! Good price!
I usually wear size 6 or 6.5, so I ordered 37 -- too big! I measured my foot length. It was 22.5 cm. The 36.5 fit like a glove.
As always, Zappos delivered these very quickly with no hassles. The shoes themselves look cute and walking around on carpet at home, I had no trouble with them. The flat surface on the bottom definitely helps with turns. However, in Zumba class it is another story. They hurt. Screamin' toe hurt! I usually wear 7-7 1/2 so ordered an 8. Maybe that wasn't big enough or wide enough. Even laces loosened they still ache. Unfortunately I've worn them on the wood floor at the studio so they can't be returned. Rather disappointed that they felt so bad.
I bought these shoes in black the first time, and liked them so much I bought the Blue Gitanes pair too. The color is just stunning. I have gotten so many compliments! Buy a half-size larger than you normally would, or else you will not be happy. They may seem a little tight on the first wearing but they mold to your foot nicely. They get very comfortable very quickly, and they are great for year-round. I am already saving up to get another color. If only I could decide... red or pink?
I ordered a size and a half larger but needed just one size. They are awesome shoes but had to return to get smaller size. Great for Zumba
Cute shoes, but unfortunately they run small and my right foot was sore. Also, they are poorly made. Colors on the sole were coming off. Unhappy but still love Zappos and will order again.
I am a wide 7.5- I had to buy 1.5 sizes up. It fit well. I used it for Tracy Anderson Method and for Zumba. Tested them out. I loved the heel support and flexibility but I have to say that there is NO support in the toe box, which I don't understand. Most dance cardio is on the TOES and therefore I am looking for a shoe that has extra support in the pad of the foot up front. Very let down that a DANCE SHOE COMPANY hasn't figured that one out yet...
I wear a ladies shoe size 10 in everything! These were super comfortable but my big toe was a little tight and poked up sort of making a mark through the shoe. Another words, I needed at least another size up. Adorable shoes! Only problem is I was looking for a Red ballet flat to wear under my wedding dress and these are Coral! Returning them. After the wedding I will probably buy either the yellowish color or the navy to wear around the office.
From the minute I opened the box and saw the packaging I knew these shoes were special. They are such soft leather, fit my foot like a glove with no pressure points, and are absolutely beautiful. Great coverage for wearing to work, but with the peep toe also fun for warmer weather. I have already ordered them in every color. They do run small: I am normally a 41 but in these, the 42 fit perfectly. Follow the advice on the website and order up. And get these shoes!
Perfect for my wide feet. I am a size 5 wide shoe but usually a 6 in sneakers. I find that 6.5 is perfect to fit a cushioned moisture wicking sock inside. That gives it perfect shock absorption for high intensity Zumba. The pivot point makes pivoting easy on my knees and I find that tight lacing makes everything pretty stable.
5/6/2013- I just received my shoes today RIGHT BEFORE my Zumba class but they fit 'too well" to keep. I wear a size 10 and ordered a 10.5 but they still fit too well BUT I LOVE THEM. I immediately boxed them up went online and purchased a size 11. I didn't want to go through the whole return and then have to wait for the bigger size so I re-ordered them to get the size 11 the next day and will mail the 10.5 back tomorrow and get credit back on my credit card. These shoes are AMAZING and they are soo soft and light and bend easy. This is my 3rd time trying out a different dance shoe brand but I believe I have finally found what I need. I have no arches in my feet and these shoes accommodate that issue. I can not wait to get my size 11 tomorrow to have for my Zumba class on Wednesday. ORDER A FULL SIZE BIGGER!!!!!!
Love this shoe! I bought 3 pairs of shoes for Turbo Fire & it was close between the Bloch and Asics Gel Flashpoint. It's super comfortable. The smooth bottom allows good pivoting on my workout mat and it is lighter than the Asics so I can do even higher kicks! Like the other reviews said, I bought a full size bigger and it fits perfect. I would not recommend for a wide foot. All in all a good looking and comfortable shoe.
I bought a 1/2 size bigger after reading one of the reviews and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable and easy to do Zumba, love them!
I heeded the advice to buy a size larger and I am glad I did. At first I was worried they might be too big, but as I walked in them, they molded nicely to my feet. The first time I wore them, I got a small blister on the back of one foot. After that, the leather was like butter and it's now a second skin. I only wish they made this flat in more colors as I already have black and nude in other flats and cannot justify spending $100 on duplicate colors. Suede material is great on the feet. Simple, basic, and great with pants or a dress/skirt. Hands down, the best pair of flats I own.

Bloch´s philosophy of listening to dancers is still as strong today as it was when Jacob Bloch made his first pair of pointe shoes in 1932. Bloch arrived from Europe in 1931 at the height of the Great Depression and began making shoes by hand in the workshop where he lived.
