Comfortable, flexible shoe. Could use more arch support though there is room to insert insoles. Shoe runs one size small.

Before I ordered my shoes, I had read the other comments about the shoes. Those comments were really helpful. I did order a half size larger than I normally wear. Good choice. Also, I was a little bit concerned about the "medium" width, as I have a narrow foot. The shoes fit good and were not too wide for me. So, I am thinking that maybe they might run a little narrower than a lot of shoes these days. (Which was great for me). The biggest thing I had to adjust to was the heal height. It’s a little higher than I normally wear, but I love the shoes. The sole allows you to move freely on the dance floor without being too slippery, as a hard soled shoe would. Am very pleased! I would have dance the night away in the shoes if my husband hadn’t stepped on my foot. Ha. Ha. Anyway, can’t wait to go dancing again.

I decided to take ballroom dance lessons for the first time and wanted a shoe that would help me avoid turning my ankle or otherwise doing something stupid. These shoes are wonderful! I usually take a size 8, but with this shoe, I needed an 8.5. I would recommend them highly. They are very attractive, as well!

I had tried on a similar Bloch shoe at a local dance supply, so I knew to order 1.5 sizes larger than my normal size. I wear a 6-6.5 street shoe and ordered this shoe in an 8. With my heavier "walking" socks, they fit fine. I bought them for Zumba because after 5 months using cross trainers, my knees started to hurt. You definitely need correct shoes to be able to slide and pivot in Zumba. This was an excellent investment. I am dancing far better now and getting a better workout. You can’t beat Zappos for service. My shoes were here in 3 days.

These are very comfortable shoes for being dance shoes. As always, there is minimal support for the ball of your feet. I bought "Kushonz" from this same site. They provide some support, but not worth the price. Overall, comfortable shoe. I danced about 3 hours and my feet were ok.

Nice shoe! It looks nice, and feels nice. I like the soft padded insole for comfort, and is true to size.

The shoe came and it was a size 9. It was not a true 9, but way smaller. It's more like a 7 1/2 or 8. Otherwise, might have worked.

I love these dance shoes. They have less cushion than the Boost sneakers. However, they provide good support and protection and still make you still feel like you are dancing barefoot.

I fell in love with the way these shoes look. I am not a dancer but dancing shoes are extremely comfortable. I bought them for street wear, so when they came I had a shoemaker put leather soles and heels on them.I do wish that the strap fastened with a proper buckle. The slide buckle makes me nervous. I may have that replaced over time. I cannot give them a full five stars due to the buckle issue, however I love them.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Bloch Boost DRT Mesh Sneaker. The suggestion from other shoppers to purchase one size larger was perfect for me! The shoes are good looking, comfortable, and of good quality. They also arrived promptly. My shopping experience with Zappos was excellent in every way!

This is a comfortable shoe and true to size for my hard to fit feet. I wear women's 10 1/2 to 11. The toe is a little narrow for my problem flat feet with corns and a bunion, but I think I can live with that and work around it with the correct socks and toe separators. My biggest concern with these shoes, which I bought for contra dancing, is that despite the spin spot, they just don't have enough "slide" for me on a wood dance floor; they grip more than I would like. Otherwise, they seem like a great shoe, maybe just not the best choice for my particular needs.

Thanks for the great shoes, Zappos. I ordered these shoes in gold and received them the next day. They look great and I was able to wear these two nights in a row without any pain (and I normally don't wear heels). I guess these shoes are supposed to be for dancing, but they are great party shoes, too. I love them!

The shoes are great and are the perfect price. Like other customers I also ordered them a size bigger than I normally wear and they fit great. They are very comfortable and cute! I would definitely recommend these shoes to a friend. Zappos has superb customer service, and I have no doubts I will shop with them again!

I bought these because they were recommended as a dance sneaker for folks with wide feet who were starting Zumba classes. On the plus side, they are a very comfortable fit. On the negative side, I would prefer a more conventional style that did not have a high heel and high arch. Hopefully I will locate a wide-size style soon that has more resemblance to an ordinary aerobics shoe. My Zumba class jumps around a lot, and I do not get a good feeling of support and balance from this style. These shoes might be better for a person with a more dance-y background. Also note that you must order these a full size larger than your other athletic shoes.

Good basic split sole. Runs extremely large! I first ordered 2 full sizes smaller than street size, and had to go another half size smaller. I wear a 9-9.5 and needed a 6.5 in these.

I purchased these shoes and the similar Capezio ones, but returned the Capezios because they were more flimsy. I am used to the Bloch and Capezio dance sneakers, so in comparison, these shoes are very thin and do not have much support, but they are definitely better than dancing barefoot. They do run small. I ordered a full size larger than I usually wear. (I love ordering from Zappos because they make it so easy. I generally have trouble fitting shoes, so if not for their easy return policy, I would never consider ordering online.)

This is a great shoe. It is very comfortable, not bad looking either. Not sure how it would hold up in the long run because the soil is very thin. They do not wear well on the dancing floor.

First I have to say the service at Zappos is great! I began a search for a dance shoe on Monday and received not one but two pairs from Zappos in time for the Thursday dance. I've never experienced such fast and friendly service. The reason I ended up with two pairs of these shoes is because I wear a size 8.5 or 9 street shoe so ordered a 9.5 Bloch, which was a bit too snug. The following morning I received the size 10 and it fit perfectly. I love this shoe! They are comfortable and easy to dance in. Wearing the right shoes makes a huge difference in dance and this Bloch is perfect. I recommend it.

These are great shoes for Zumba on a carpeted surface. They are too slippery for a wood or laminate floor. They support my feet well and are very comfortable.

This is my 4th pair of dance shoes and is by far the most comfortable. It feels very flexible, like a jazz shoe with a good, solid heel. I can literally feel the boards of the dance floor through the shoes, yet they are well-cushioned and needed almost no breaking in. I like the friction-type buckle on the strap (no holes), which enables me to fit the strap perfectly to my small-boned ankles without punching additional holes. Would love to see these features incorporated in a dressier shoe for special events and competitions.

I am really happy with these shoes. I bought them for teaching Zumba. My dance background is in ballroom, and I love that I can dance actual Latin techniques in these shoes. They do run small. I have very small feet (wmn\'s size 4B). I wear a 3.5 in Nike kids tennis shoes. I bought Bloch\'s in a size 5, and I still could have gone 1/2 size bigger I think. I\'ve been wearing thinner socks with them and they are increasingly comfortable as I break them in, like they are forming to my foot. I have a lot of past injuries and was worried about not having enough support in these, but I am feeling just fine teaching 2 nights per week in them.

Amazing shoe. Even though everyone seems to be saying they run small, I think the issue is that women are notorious for wearing their shoes too small with their toes hanging over the front edge. I ordered my normal size (8) and they fit perfectly. No heel slippage, plenty of room in the toe box; this is a wide shoe, as opposed to a women's B. Great flexibility. Great non-skid. Wonderful comfort. These will rock when I dance the Lindy Hop at my son's wedding.

I wear a 7, ordered an 8. Because of the way they were laced upon arrival, I thought they were still too small. After adjusting the laces, they're just right. I wore them to Zumba yesterday and noticed a difference right away, much easier to move around with the Blochs. The split sole will take some getting used to, but so far I really enjoy the flex. Wish I had ordered pink instead of black, but oh well. Thanks, Zappos, for your great customer support. You always score five stars with me!

These are dance shoes, true to size. If you\'re used to wearing dance shoes, buy your regular dance shoe size. The shoes are constructed so that dancers can go en pointe wearing them, so they should be snug. I followed online advice and ordered up, and the shoes were way too big. I bought them for zumba, not for ballet, and they were uncomfortably large. They\'re even too big to walk around in. Remember, they\'re not designed to be street shoes.

I bought this specifically for Zumba. It is like night and day from trying to Zumba in an aerobic shoe. I can actually move (dance). It does run narrow. I did size up 1/2 size. This shoe is very light weight and flexible.

About Bloch

Bloch Bloch’s philosophy of listening to dancers is still as strong today as it was when Jacob Bloch made his first pair of pointe shoes in 1932. Bloch arrived from Europe in 1931 at the height of the Great Depression and began making shoes by hand in the workshop where he lived.

Bloch loved watching ballet and visited many dance studios. At one such studio, he noticed a young dancer who was having trouble staying on pointe. Bloch promised he would make her a better pair of shoes, and so he did. After that, Bloch’s reputation for making good dance shoes spread rapidly.

At Bloch, the respect the company has for its clients' art is infinite. Contributing to a dancer's artistry, in even the slightest way is the ultimate Bloch goal. Admittedly jealous of their clients' artistic ability, Bloch is proud to contribute confidence and beauty through the best dance footwear in the world.
