These are wonderful shoes! Except one problem, the shoes with designs on them can not go into the washing machine, they have to be washed by hand. This is okay if your just using them at home or have a job that isn't disgusting. I am a custodian, and as you can imagine some pretty ugly things get splashed onto my shoes. If I can't wash them in a hot water washing machine with some disinfectant, then I run the risk of cross contamination. However, as I stated before these are wonderfully comfortable shoes that fit my duck feet well, so I will be swapping them out for the plain black style.
I'd also recommend: Birki's if you need the arch support, Croc's if you don't.

Love these Birki’s. I followed advice of others and bought a size smaller than usual and they fit perfectly. The asymmetrical design of this model is fun.

Buy a size smaller than you wear. I always wear an 8.5 shoe which would be the 39. I listened to the other reviews and bought the size smaller 38. I am so thankful for the tip. The shoes fit perfect with just enough extra room. If I would have bought my standard size I would have had to return them. These shoes are super comfy and easy to clean.

I have been wearing these at work and have found them quite comfortable, even after a 24 hour shift. I usualy wear an 8 EE and the 38 W fit best. I recommend getting these a size smaller than you usually get.

I have loved these shoes since my first pair in grade school. I like the classic because it is totally waterproof and so comfortable. The foot bed molds perfectly to the foot. I only wish they weren't so hard to find. Back when I got my second pair the super Birki was new and the classic Birki was offered in every color of the rainbow. Too bad the old Birkensock does not carry the classic Birki any more.
