Birki's

Perfect! The color is a soft grey, not too light, not to dark. It took a few days to break in, but even during that period I wore them for twelve hour shifts at a hospital with no problems. I worried about walking out of them as well, given then relative looseness of them compared to the Dansko's I had been wearing but it's only happened once. Will definitely buy again!

In addition to plantar fasciitis, I have a super flexible big toe that forces a lot of pressure onto my other metatarsals causing them to inflame to a point where I cannot walk for one or two days. Did I mention that I am a professional cook? After getting orthotics for all my other shoes, I tried looking for cooking shoes with good support. Enter the Super-Birki's and their fantastic cork foot bed. Truth: it does take a few days to break this shoe in. After that, you'll be good as gold. Did I mention I work about 3 12-hour shifts a week, plus 3 5-8 hour shifts depending on the day? To say that I love this shoe would be an understatement. To say that I am on my third pair and plan on buying more is not an understatement. Thank you Super-Birki for keeping my happy!

I have never had shoes this uncomfortable. They are still hard as bricks after a month. Only way I can stand them is to wear heavy socks.

Good in the kitchen. Easy wipe clean. Or wash machine without insoles. Non slip response is good. Soles easier to clean than some others. Comfy for all day standing. These run huge! Buy at least 1 full size down.

I have been wearing the same pair of these for 15 years, it is now time to replace them. I work in the kitchens and they are an absolute must have. No shoes compare to them when you are on your feet all day. I love them, I must have them to do my job! Not to mention they lasted me for 15 years, I just replaced the insoles every now and then. Perfect work shoes for me.

These shoes are really sturdy. They are a bit heavy but not terrible. They take a bit of time to break in but are very durable, easy to clean and nice and stylish. I am on my feet all the time and my feet never hurt.

Love these shoes, as I knew I would. Buy one size smaller to avoid a return. The insole can be removed, if you need to wear them in super wet conditions. Perfect for gardening or other outdoor activities. I am a ceramic artist, so they work perfectly for the dusty, dirty work I do--just rinse them off at the end of the day.

Very comfortable right out of the box. I bought them to work in the garden but wear them all the time. The removable footbed is easy to clean. I will be buying more of these.

This is a really cute shoe but alas, the strap across the instep is too tight and it probably won't give enough because the upper of the shoe is not leather. They have to go back.

I love these shoes I bought a pair of Birkis in 2004 and this is 2013 and I am just buying another pair as I speak. These shoes are just what the doctor order for me. They are excellent. I would truly recommend Birkis to anyone! Those of you who need arch support or just comfortable shoes try wearing Birkis you cannot go wrong.

These ran a full size bigger. I am a 5/5.5 and I had way too much room in the length. I bought the blue ones and had to return them. The color is adorable though and made me want to go see by a tropical beach.

These are super cute! I'm so glad I took a chance on them! After having read the review, I decided to go for it, as I don't have a narrow foot. I couldn't resist the rainbow, and I'm so glad I didn't-they are perfect for this summer and as long as the elastic lasts-they are comfortable and the elastic stretches as you walk, but the sandal doesn't come off of the foot at all. I haven't worn them for a long period yet, but as soon as it's warm enough... Definitely give them a shot! If you want Birkenstock's support without the dowdy look-these are the shoes to try (as long as you don't have too wide of a foot).

These were a bit too screaming for me. They were also very large for the stated size. One other thing; it seemed for Birks they were quite heavy. I've worn these clogs since they came out, and this pair seemed a bit leaden! Not problem with exchanging, of course!

After my first fitting...I boxed them and said "back you go.' I was ready to send them back quickly but I decided to read more reviews. So these clogs are on my feet once again...as I'm typing this. They do feel an itty bit snug in the middle of my feet. Toes have room and heel is loose. I get they aren't suppose to be snug. I've worn Crocs...but long before those mistakes. I've worn good old wooden clogs growing up. My feet are almost squarish but as I'm getting older my flat feet are having issues. Heel Spur issues and of course bunions! All those years of walking and having extra weight on my bones have caught up to me; however, I won't let that get the best of me. I needed something I could wear to work and not wear sneakers or leathery nurses shoes. I work in retail, so being on my feet is a necessary activity. One foot is pretty okay but my left is achy...big toe hurts, bunion, swelling on the top. Heel spurs not too much and I do stretch out my feet each morning but I'm not crazy about any ritual each day. So this shoe seems to be "pretty good" for now. I can run (in the house) a bit. I won't wear them hiking or in massive downpours but I will sport them. These shoes do want to hold onto my feel around my "archless areas" and the toe room is great; although since I do have a bunion that makes the fit in the toe area questionable. I love that I can pull out the insole and replace with my $600 orthotics...don't worry I ignored they arrived at the Dr's office (5 months) and my deposit of $150.00 is all I paid for them. I mean really, most insurance plans aren't going to eat that cost, why should anyone. These remind of my slippers yet...they aren't falling off as I walk, as those have stretched out...these won't stretch out. I would like to try one of the other...non-professional series in a color. First a whirl with these and I will keep my critique updated as to my experience. Thank you Zappos for allowing shoppers to critique and return for free. I've been a long customer for nearly 20 years. I know my feet and it's a great way to try what you know and what you think you know will fit your feet. I fear I will have to send these back. Ordered narrow, they say narrow but clearly they are a WIDE narrow! Other reviews said this. I just didn't want to believe it.

Comfortable, classy, great with pants or dresses. Only drawback is that you can't adjust width as you can with so many Birkis. As the elastic stretches that may be a problem but my feet are exceptionally narrow so it probably won't be an issue for most. Can go all day in these!

These shoes are so cute but they are way to big. I love the roomy foot because I have a wide foot but I feel like I'm swimming in these shoes. They fall off when I'm walking.

I was so excited to get these shoes, as they are beautiful, and I read online that they were so comfortable. However, I had to return them as the soles are HARD! Not even remotely as cushioned as a Crocs, for example!

I bought these to wear around the house. I love them, they provide good support, and only have two complaints: a) my husband says I look like a duck the yellow is so bright, and b) the material...your feet don't really get breath in them. If I wear a sock, it helps, but I would be great if their were some air holes like Crocs have to compensate for this material. I wasn't planning on spending this much money for a taking out the garbage or watering the plants shoe...so for me they will continue as house shoe. By the way...love the fun style...Quack!

Super cute shoes! Very poorly made. Wore around the house and the red color started to wear off! Poor support. Would not recommend.
