These are the most amazing shoes. I am diabetic with ailing feet and the total adjustable fit is perfect for me. One foot swells more than the other and not overall, sometimes just in one place (either the toes or the top of the foot), so the various adjusting enables me to have a perfect fit no matter what. The quality is always suburb with Birkenstocks and I recommend them for anyone! You will not be disappointed and I will only buy them through Zappos, which is the absolute best website you can deal with!

The shoes are great, my favorites. Don't tell anyone about the wool leather Zurich blend. Despite the great shoe, y'all never have them in stock, and that's the case with all your Birks as far as a size 43.

Super comfortable and I like the way it covers more of the foot - a bit dressier that way or break-in period. Very soft leather - no problem spots. I like the narrow as I am borderline narrow in some shoes, and narrow gives me a closer fit with these, but still can wear with socks in cool weather. Birkenstocks tend to run wide so the narrow is a good choice if you like a bit snugger fit. Plenty of adjustment with the straps also. The 9 1/2 is probably equal to a 10 in length.

Let me please introduce myself. I've been the ardent owner of a single pair of Birkenstocks I bought in Berkeley over twenty years ago. I have worn them mostly indoors, and they are still my feet's favorite place to be. Never mind that they are becoming somewhat worn around the edges...aren't we all a bit? I live now in Alaska, too, a far cry from the Bay Area. I rarely buy new shoes, so this is a sort of a big event for me. Therefore, I really felt a bit out of my element when I decided to spring for a brand new pair of Zurich's the other day. I wondered if I even ordered the right size, as the numbers on my older ones were completely rubbed off. Yet, it was time. I made my best calculations based on reading the many wonderful reviews here, plus my own research. I've been entering a whole new layer of my life, and felt they would be a worthy investment. I was reassured by Zappos' great return policy and customer service reputation. I received them last week. They fit amazing well. I wear a US size 7 1/2, yet gambled on a size 37, narrow, and voila; I got it right the very first time. They were just a wee bit stiff at first, compared to my ancient ones. Yet, just as many reviewers have mentioned, after a couple of days, they've begun to soften, and my feet feel right at home, now happily torn between two luxurious Birkenstock options. I can hardly wait for winter to arrive. I know they'll become treasured old friends for a very long time to come. I realize not everyone's feet can feel as fortunate as mine do, and I am grateful. Thank you Zappos.com for an excellent experience. Additionally, it is incredible that, throughout all the ins and outs of these last few decades, the Birkenstock company continues to create such artistically crafted masterpieces.

I wear Birkenstocks pretty much all the time because they\'re comfortable and I have a chronic case of plantar fasciitis. I love the Zurich because it combines the coverage of a clog with an open toe, which is pretty important in our climate. They are certainly not an elegant look, but I wear jeans or slacks all the time, and they\'re perfect with most everything I wear to work. But more important than that is they\'re comfortable all day long, and good for my feet. \r\nWhen I ordered them, I got the wrong color-the box was marked correctly but the shoes inside were wrong. And true to form, Zappos made it right in record time, cross-shipping another paid and having a supervisor check to make sure they were the right color.

What is comfort? Birkenstock. Zurich is comfortable and conforms to pressure points in my feet. I think there is a health benefit to the footbed. Zurich covers the top of the foot and I've gotten many compliments on their appearance. They are true to sizing lengthwise, I bought narrow for a semi-wide foot but stick to a B width. Regular width might be a tad wide on some people but with Birkenstock, adjust the straps or make some more holes. Zappos has been the king of customer service. Great place to buy!

The Best - I feel rather sheepish admitting that I have an addiction to Birkenstocks. (I have about 50 pair). They are all wonderful for the health of your foot. I have bunions, among other foot problems. This is just about the only brand I can wear without pain. If I had to get rid of all of my Birkenstocks except 5 pair, this would be the first style I would keep. When I come home from work, it's nice to slip into these Zurichs. They feel like bedroom slippers. They are so kind and gentle on your feet. My other favorite would be the Arizona, Boston, and Gizeh, and Paris. There - see, I narrowed it down to 5 pair. Of course, I love all of their styles, and they are all wonderful. If I were forced to narrow my choice down to just one pair, I would pick the Zurich in taupe suede. They are pure Birkenstock, and pure joy to wear. You'll never regret owning a pair of these.

Hands down the absolute most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I bought two pairs so I can have a play pair and dressier darker color pair. I have several other styles of Birks and I love those too, but these are special.

Follow the leader - I bought a pair of Zurich's for my husband about ten years ago, and as soon as saw them on his feet I wanted a pair for me. But I never saw a pair in a color that I liked. About four months ago I saw them in a dark green color very similar to a suede coat that I own. As these were my 29th or 30th pair of Birkenstock's I knew that there'd be no break-in time. But the really wide band was different, until I loosened the straps, now they are my favorite pair. So, Zappos use your influence on the company and get them to make lighter and/or brighter colors in this style. I'll be first in line to buy them. My husband was the leader in this style, and I'd like to lead in color.

Comfort and style - This is my 4th pair of Birks since I began wearing them in college 25 years ago. These shoes are comfortable, durable, and look great even in winter with wool socks. Great with pants, skirts, shorts, you name it. Miserably uncomfortable for the first 3 days, then heavenly ever after, like most other Birkies. Be patient-you won't be sorry!
