Comfortable but wide - This was my first pair of Birks ever. I am hooked. At first they were really hard, but now they are so comfortable. I couldn't believe that something so hard and flat could accommodate my super high arch. I love the berry color, but the Birko-Flor material tears easily; i.e. the prongs in the buckle pieces. It does not seem very durable. Also, these shoes are very wide. For a narrow foot, this shoe is kind of sloppy for true walking. However, for 'round the town and running errands, they are perfect. They're a keeper! Thanks for the fast delivery, Zappos!

My Favorite - I bought the lime green and loved it so much I would have bought at least another pair if they had a nice blue or lighter beige. I wear this shoe all the time because it is so comfortable and stays on so well when I walk. It was great to read the previous reviews to see I could buy the narrow and it would probably fit my foot. I don't normally wear a narrow shoe, but the narrow fits me perfectly in these. Very nice looking on my foot too. Great service Zappos!!

Too narrow!!!! I bought these in lime, orange, and berry. The colors are great, and the Birko-Flor is okay, thought I prefer nubuck. Alas, they do not come in regular width in these colors, only narrow. I sized up but they were still too narrow and hurt my foot. I have many pairs of regular width Birkenstocks, and I love them. I do not agree that their narrow is an American normal width, unless you have very skinny feet. Betula makes this style (they call it Grace) in only one width, and those fit me fine.

Always right, Always comfortable - I've been wearing Birkenstocks since a heel injury and I can't say enough about them. They are the only shoes that fit right from the moment I put them on, no break in time needed like some of the shoes I've had in the past. I don't think I've ever had to return a pair, that's impressive to me. It is nice that they are finally coming up with styles that can also be worn in the workplace and not look so "Birkie-like". Great product and excellent service from Zappos! Keep up the good work!

Brands I'd also recommend: Anything Birkenstock, Earth shoes are somewhat comprable but Birkenstocks are the best

These sandals are my first Birkies and I love them. Unlike other slide sandals, they stay on my feet as I walk without effort to keep my foot from sliding. My daughter owns about 16 pairs of Birkies and she had been extolling the virtues of wearing them and trying to get me to try them. I am convinced!

I love these!!!!! Fantastic, great cute shoe. I love, love, love them and am totally a Birkenstock devotee for life now. I will say that I am not super duper crazy about the Birko-Flor stuff. It feels a little weird to me, a little fuzzy or something. I think next time I'll get the nubuck. But for comfort, you can't beat these shoes. And this style is so much cuter than the Arizona’s or Milano’s!!!!!

Birkenstocks were recommended by my doctor. Have worn them for 10+ years. The only complaint I find is the styles are so dumpy looking. Have heard others complain about this also.

I'm not a Birkenstock kinda girl but I bought these as an alternative to flip flops after having some pain in the ball of my foot. I have to say, they're fabulous. They're not nearly as ugly as i thought they'd be and they are super comfortable to walk around the city in. I do a lot of walking and these were comfortable from the jump. At first, they seemed big to me but I've heard that's how Birks are supposed to fit.

And of course, as with every Birkenstock I have ever bought, they were perfect from the time I slipped my feet into them. Every time I wear them I get compliments and am asked where I got them. There should be more people signing onto Zappos to order these! I may order another pair for backup! In fact perhaps I should do so before they are sold out. These get five stars on appearance alone! Unique would be my one word description.

At first it wasn't that comfortable. After a few days it "got" the shape of my foot, now it's amazing. I stand in the kitchen doing the dishes and my back doesn't hurt. It's very comfortable.

Incredible experience. I ordered sandals after lunch one day and the aforementioned footwear were on my feet the next day. I purchased a pair of replacement Birks. Sandals have a bit more width which I knew and wanted. Style and color matched description and photos.

Love the color of the onyx - a shimmery blue. Unfortunately the footbed appears to be for a regular (wider) foot even though I ordered a narrow. They are a bit uncomfortable but that could be because I have to make them as tight as possible to attempt to walk without them falling off. These will be going back.

I have plantar fascitis, high arch, and narrow feet. The arch on this shoe was not supportive enough for me. I usually wear size 8.5 narrow - this shoe fits short for longer toes, and longer at heel end. Awkward feel and look. Although you can tighten the straps, the bed of the shoe is still wide and shoe looks clunky on my narrow feet. Really wanted these to work, but, alas, they didn't.
