This is a great looking shoe. I love Eccos. They are too small, and narrow. They are not worth the price. Give it a fancy euro style and name and get so much?

Very comfortable but too fancy for everyday all round use. Okay if you just walk on pavement. The tough "Yak" leather succumbed to an almost instant toe smile upon wearing.

This is an excellent shoe, probably one of the only walking shoes left on the market that doesn't over correct your natural movement (you can actually bend this shoe). I tried a lot of shoes before deciding to spend 50% more than I ever have, but consider that ECCO is a reputable company for quality, the shoes are extremely comfortable, the PU soles last 3x longer than EVA (standard shoes) and if you choose the Yak leather it lasts 3x longer than Cow leather. In a world where walking shoes have been eclipsed by running shoes, Ecco does deserve some business for keeping in the market, and New Balance IMHO deserves to lose some business for leaving it. The comparable Asics and New Balance walkers were terrible. The mesh is very attractive, but I chose leather for durability. The leather does look good though, but not as cool as the mesh. They might be discontinuing the leather as Zappos wasn't getting my size in stock so I had to purchase through another supplier. Support Zappos though, nobody can beat their price or service, especially with Eccos.

The Biom shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have every worn. The quality and attention to detail are well worth the higher price. I have bought 2 more pair since I purchased the Biom Walk 1.1, one pair for golf and another for workouts. They are great!

About Biom Natural Motion by ECCO
All BIOM shoes are built on an anatomical last to provide a better fit and more natural flexion. As their aim is natural movement, they do not follow the design standards of overprotection, excessive cushioning, or motion control.
Professor Dr. Bruggemann, a leading scientist in running biomechanics, Torbjorn Sindballe, world-class triathlon pro-athlete, and ECCO have all worked in conjunction to make the BIOM Project what it has become today.
The best thing about BIOM products is that whether you’re a walker, the occasional runner, the fitness runner, or the serious runner, they have a shoe to fit your needs.

These shoes are very lightweight, comfortable, with just the right amount of support. I typically walk 5 miles (hilly) at a time on pavement at a fast pace. These shoes do well on pavement, less well on uneven dirt. The key is how long they will last. My last pair of walking shoes lasted 6 months (not Ecco). I'm hoping the Eccos will last longer. I also like the style, where I can wear them to an informal dinner after I walk in them all day.

I recently had back surgery and was looking for a good athletic style walking shoe. I bought a pair of the Ecco Biom Walk 5 weeks ago. They do what they say. I'm very happy with them and will be buying more of the Biom series.

Just got this Biom Walk. Well constructed and very comfortable. Fit is excellent. Highly recommended. Now the nits: 1) That split achilles thing rubs on both sides of my tendon. Not bad, and I'm sure I'll adapt, but it's useless and an unnecessary annoyance. 2) The Yak tag is absurd. I'll black it out, so again not a huge deal. But why? I know, label lovers. I don't like labels and don't like people who do. I don't need "look at me" shoes to persuade people I'm significant. 3) That glowing tag on the tongue? Again, I'll black it out, but see nit #2. Seriously, that's a terrible design element. 4) Biom all over the laces? Geez. Easily replaced, but awful. Why not just put flashing lights on them? They're great shoes, you just need to design them for secure grown-ups.

My husband really liked the casual look of this shoe. Unfortunately, the area around the heel/ankle is too high and rubbed his achilles tendon uncomfortably. At first we thought we got the wrong size, but after trying 1/2 a size larger, he encountered the same problem.

Holy smokes, are these comfortable! Believe me, I'm an overweight, middle-aged man who decided to start walking to get in shape, but historically, my feet hurt after the first half mile. I'm up to three miles and have lost 20 pounds. With these shoes and the right socks anyone can get out and get active.

I tour internationally with a major symphony orchestra and, therefore, do a lot of walking. For years I've looked for a very comfortable pair of walking shoes that look casual but not tennis shoe (ish). With the Ecco Biom shoes I have found both. They're great for a four or five mile walk and look decent enough for a nice bistro or cafe. I'm not real fond of the orange accent but I like the general look. The fit is good, there's good arch support, and they're soft enough on hard pavement.

Very nice, well manufactured and comfortable shoes. Have been wearing them daily for 7 months, and they still look like new. Top leather is so flexible and nice looking. Easily cleaned. They worth the money paid for. Very pleased with Zappos and Ecco.
