The whole point of this shoe is to reduce cushioning and support to allow the foot to run more naturally. I am a casual runner and was looking to transition from a typical running shoe to a reduced running shoe. The Biom C is a great shoe and helps me avoid an excessive heel strike. The cushioning is very adequate and I have not had any trouble with lack of support and cushioning.
Brands I'd also recommend: Biom B, Biom Walk, New Balance Minimus, Vibram Five Fingers

A great, light running shoe with good arch support. Fits true to size. I have high arches and am a recreational runner. I love the Ecco Biom shoes. I have a walking shoe, cross trainer, and running shoe. My only complaint with the cross trainer that I wear for tennis is that the sole doesn't seem to be wearing as well as I hoped they would.

About Biom Natural Motion by ECCO
All BIOM shoes are built on an anatomical last to provide a better fit and more natural flexion. As their aim is natural movement, they do not follow the design standards of overprotection, excessive cushioning, or motion control.
Professor Dr. Bruggemann, a leading scientist in running biomechanics, Torbjorn Sindballe, world-class triathlon pro-athlete, and ECCO have all worked in conjunction to make the BIOM Project what it has become today.
The best thing about BIOM products is that whether you’re a walker, the occasional runner, the fitness runner, or the serious runner, they have a shoe to fit your needs.
