I haven't used them for running yet but I use them for my daily wear. Love 'em. High recommended if price is no object. If they were less expensive, I would pick another one up. 4 stars overall because of the price; otherwise it would be 5 stars from me.

A beautiful shoe with a very narrow cross bottom arch -- great if you're less than 125 lbs. Otherwise, too little support and little stabilization.

Brands I'd also recommend: Nike, mephisto, often echo, geox.

This shoe is very light and comfortable. Ecco really put some technology on these shoes. They look dressy as well. The cons are if you're standing and twist your feet a bit, then it helps you to twist more and then you'll be off-balanced. The other disadvantage is the price tag it carries. All in all I love these shoes and wish they had a slide in them.

I originally purchased a pair of Biom walk. Then I got the train and finally the running shoe. I am sold on Bioms. I were them all at different times. Great fit and comfort. I also have 2 pairs of Biom hybrid golf shoes.

Amazing comfort, super light, and very nice quality. Yak leather is super soft. Haven't run in them yet. Just wearing for daily use. Expensive, yes, but I feel I got what I paid for. Planning on buying another pair of the Biom line-up.

    Brands I'd also recommend: Asolo

The BIOM Project is an innovative running and walking concept developed by ECCO®. The design behind its products is based on the principle of allowing the foot to move as nature intended it to. The forward motion of running and walking is something that our bodies have become accustomed to over hundreds of thousands of years. The human foot is made up of bones, ligaments, tendons and muscles that are especially designed to support us when we run and walk. Both of these activities however, place increased strain on the foot, which is why ECCO developed BIOM running and walking shoes. They believe in adding support only where the foot needs it, so as not in impede its natural motion.

All BIOM shoes are built on an anatomical last to provide a better fit and more natural flexion. As their aim is natural movement, they do not follow the design standards of overprotection, excessive cushioning, or motion control.

Professor Dr. Bruggemann, a leading scientist in running biomechanics, Torbjorn Sindballe, world-class triathlon pro-athlete, and ECCO have all worked in conjunction to make the BIOM Project what it has become today.

The best thing about BIOM products is that whether you’re a walker, the occasional runner, the fitness runner, or the serious runner, they have a shoe to fit your needs.
