BIOM is a minimalist shoe which is all about natural motion. ECCO introduced BIOM 2 years ago and this BIOM B in mesh is a shoe which will be comfortable for most competitive runners. It has a firm and responsive ride on the road. I have also run in the leather version, made from yak leather. It has a great fit and feels like a second skin without socks. For runners who believe less is more, try this shoe.

This BIOM style is very cool. It has a high tech look and a great color. The most impressive thing about BIOM is the natural motion concept. The low profile provides minimal support and cushioning which allows the foot to work in a natural way. Happy to get BIOMized.

This shoe is the best. Immediately went from exercising 25 mins. to 45 mins to an hour with no joint pain (I'm a little on the thick side). This is the only running shoe I care to own!

Excellent fit; really does fit well biomechanically. My feet are wider in front than at the rear, and this shoe accommodates them well. Finally, my feet are free to be themselves in a shoe, and not forced into some standardized shape! I've also noticed less ankle and knee stiffness/soreness post-run. Shoes are comfortable whether running 3 miles or 8 miles and no problem.

From the days of Art Lydiards I have enjoyed trying a new ride. Candidly, the hesitation with the Biom has been the price. How can a shoe costing this much be that good? Having been a runner for over 50 years I have had hundreds of ride my new ride is Biom B 2.2. The shoe provides a unique minimal support and freedom of natural motion that a person approaching 100,000 miles appreciates. I fully anticipate the Biom ride will hold up for quite a few more miles than some of the recent shoes I have tried. I do think I have a new partner for the ascent to 100k miles of running - ECCO Biom.
