Bernardo

One of the the many things I love about Zappos is being able to read the customer reviews about an item I am considering purchasing. However, I have never written one. Well, this is the shoe that has inspired my first review. If you are like me and primarily love a "flip flop" type sandal, this Bernardo Miami is for you. I just got mine today and have not taken them off my feet. The leather straps are so smooth, nice padded sole and what I totally love is the wide toe area. I actually have pretty narrow feet but have still noticed that over the years the foot bed in the toe area in flip flop style sandal has gotten very narrow. I don't like my little toe hanging off and touching the ground...gross. And unlike the Jack Rogers, that little bit of padding makes them much more comfortable for wearing for long periods of time. They are classic and will look good with everything. While, not cheap, if you're sitting on the fence about these, my suggestion is to jump. You will not be disappointed!

Very cute sandal on the foot. The strap around the ankle seems short, as it crosses at a wide part of the foot rather than the ankle (I don't have cankles, promise), and can't be slipped on and off easily, but needs to be buckled every time.

Great sandal. Got these yesterday and they are a perfect fit. I normally wear a size 9 but looking at the reviews I ordered the size 9.5 and they are PERFECT. Nice chocolate color.

Absolutely beautiful, well made, classic shoe. Zappos service and speedy shipping top-notch as always! I couldn't wait to get them, especially since they carried my larger size. But it was the saddest day ever, to have them not fit and have to return them. They run 1/2-1 size small. Probably not a problem for smaller sizes, but for me, I ordered the largest they make and now I'm even sadder knowing I'll never be able to wear these shoes.

Love! I wasn't sure about the style until I tried them on. So comfortable. Love the neutral brown. The strap across the top of my foot fits! Usually sandals are too wide for me.

I love those sandals! Beautiful look excellent quality, little over priced but.. you get what you pay for.

Great sandal. Others have stated that it doesn't stay on their foot very well. I have a high instep and have not run into this issue like I did with a previous model of Bernardos that had a round metal disk in place of the leather circle. There is not much arch support, ok, well NO arch support, but the padded footbed is comfortable enough to wear these walking for several hours without issue. I liked them so much I bought brown too! The leather sole can be a little slick, so I would recommend going to a cobbler and having a thin rubber outsole put on them for safety reasons. Order a half size up.

Well, been eyeing these for 2 years, every spring I look at them read reviews and till now never purchased. decided to take the plunge with the white nappa top/brown footbed. I listened to the overwhelming majority of reviews that said ran a full size small. I ordered the size 8. I wear a 7 in thongs a 6 or 6.5 in high heels, they fit perfect - a bit stiff but they're leather will need a bit of breaking in. Superb quality - love them! I will buy more colors now that I know my size in these a size 8. I can't believe it. I never wear that size, except running shoes which I add insoles to, etc. If I hadn't bought the 8, my toes and my heel would have been sitting on the stitching as is they don't and the upper is still snug enough for my medium width foot. Thanks Zappos for a great product! Highly recommended.

Cute shoe. The pewter color is a nice metallic that would go with a lot of different outfits, but the 7.5 ran small. My toes hung off the top.

This sandal is a classic. I wear sandals all summer long so it is important that they are comfortable.

Really pretty sandal. I usually wear a 7.5. Tried the 8 in this and could probably get away with it, but the 8.5 fits best. Comfy shoe out of the box. Will be a great go-to shoe for the summer.

I normally LOVE Bernardo sandals, and thought I'd love these until they came in the mail and I saw them in person. :( My first thought was "yuck!"... The orange color is a very bright and ugly orange, that reminds me of what you'd see at a "construction zone" color orange- like the ugly orange you see when there is a construction zone in the area, and you see the big bright orange colored signs, and the orange colored cones. Too bad they're not a softer, tan-ish orange. In the picture they look like a softer orange, when really they are a VERY bright(almost neon) orange! These are definitely going back!!

I love these sandals. they are comfortable, fit perfectly and are a great neutral buff color. They look great with everything from shorts to cotton slacks and maxi dresses!

Great quality sandal! All leather, even the sole, which is hard to find nowadays. As a matter of fact, my 72-year old mother wore Bernardos when she was my age and she said the quality is just as good now as it was then. Wonderful to hear. I agree with the other reviewer that they tend to run 1/2 size short. So, indeed, the 9 fit my usual size 8.5 foot. The orange and pink are vibrant and summery. Can't wait to wear them at the beautiful beaches of Sierra Leone, West Africa. Perfect!

I really like these sandals I think I will wear them often. They do run small, I am a solid 6 1/2 normally but after reading the reviews about them running small I ordered a size 7 and they are perfect...going a full size bigger would have been too much though.

Love, love, love these Bernardo sandals. The leather is awesome and the color combination is really cool. They look so much better in person than they do in the pictures. I can't wait to wear these in Costa Rica next week!

I ordered the orange in size 8½, but they were just a tad too short; I am swapping for a 9. The orange is much brighter in person - it is a true orange, unlike the tangerine color in the photo. They are still very pretty! The soles are cushy and the straps felt very secure. I cannot wait to wear these on vacation!

Great casual sandal. Looks great with shorts and sundresses. Love the leather bottom. Looks like these will last a long time.

Cute sandal but weirdly runs much smaller than the other pair of Bernardos that I own. These will have to be sent back.

The only disappointment I felt was that the color in the picture is not the same as the actual color of the item. When I viewed the video after receiving the shoes, the color was accurate. I wore Bernardos as a teenager and young adult so I have been happy that they are making a resurgence in the market place. They last forever and the Miami style is a quick go-to since they slip on.
